I feel like Bruce and Tommy Jr would be the kind of siblings to at times just fight each other on site
Holy shit, YEAH. Have you ever seen two cats engage in a combat so vicious they'd make a lion cry? That's Bruce and his brother. Damian saw TJ flirt with Talia once just to piss Bruce off. A flying knife, yelling, swearing, illegal insults occur, and for someone who hates guns, his Baba's aim is OFF the charts

୨୧ HEAVEN
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
drug dealer!ellie x reader summary: you and ellie don't really get along but tolerate each other for your friends, jesse and dina. when participating in a game of seven minutes in heaven at a party, the bottle lands on ellie. a small confrontation somehow leads to something more. warnings: fingering (r!receiving), ellie's kinda mean but not really wc: 4.1k<3
It was the end of the college semester and all finals were completed which meant it was time to let loose. After spending weeks tiring yourself out, crying, barely getting any sleep just to study, you were treating yourself with alcohol and whatever other substances that would be offered to you. On top of that, you needed to get laid. You knew your friends with benefits, Siobhan, would be there. You and Dina were ready, just waiting for Jesse to come and get you two.
Jesse suddenly opened the door to your dorm and waved a hand urging the two of you to come out. “Let’s go,” he said.
“What took you so long?” Dina asked, shutting the door behind her.
“I was getting stuff.”
“From who?”
“TJ,” responded Jesse.
Both you and Dina groaned. The weed Jesse got from his dealer was too strong for the both of you. No matter how many times you told Jesse you were convinced he laced it, he would buy from him anyway. Plus, he overcharged his customers.
“You know Ellie is gonna be at the party,” said Dina. “Why not buy from her?”
You made a face. Ellie was great friends with Dina and Jesse but you didn’t really like her. All she had to offer was good weed and discounts since you were friends with Dina. Other than that, you thought she was cocky. About a year ago, you were dating this girl who wanted to keep the relationship a secret because she was “closeted.” But really, she was also dating Ellie and when the two of you found out, you both showed up to her dorm together to confront her. You tried being friends with Ellie after but she’d brush you off. You thought maybe she hated you for it which you never understood.
“I prefer TJ’s weed.”
“You’re insane, Jesse,” you teased.
“I don’t care if you guys think it’s laced. Whatever he’s lacing it with, works.”
The three of you walked out of the building and down the sidewalk. Luckily, the party was only a few blocks away which meant no one had to drive.
“Oh, before I forget, are you gonna go back to Jesse’s dorm tonight Dina?” you questioned.
“Yeah, why? Gonna hit up Siobhan?”
“Oh, definitely. Haven’t seen her in a month and I need to get laid.”
“You’re still fucking Siobhan? I heard she got a boyfriend recently,” said Jesse.
Both you and Dina shot each other a confused look. “Boyfriend? She’s gay.”
“Don’t shoot the messenger, just something I heard.”
“Nah, Siobhan would tell me if she was dating someone.”
“Well… you did say she was sorta being dry recently,” Dina muttered.
“I mean, yeah, but she said she was stressed with her finals.”
“If I knew you were still fucking her, I would’ve said something sooner.”
“Jesse, what are you not telling me?”
You could hear muffled music from a distance as y’all got closer to the party. Jesse remained silent, hoping you would drop it.
“Jesse,” you continued. “I will pinch you if you don’t tell me what you know.”
You neared the entrance of the party and grabbed the handle, turning it and pulling it open. You looked back at Jesse, waiting for him to say something.
“The boyfriend… might be TJ.”
“What?” you and Dina shrieked. Dina grabbed your arm and pulled you into the party, the both of you giggling and leaving Jesse behind. “He has to be joking!” Dina laughed.
“I’m saying, there’s no way!”
“Whatever, wanna go find Ellie to get some weed?”
“Sure, I guess.”
You started looking around the party, searching for Ellie. You finally noticed her standing in the corner with a joint hanging from her lips. You tapped Dina and pointed. “You go ahead, I’m gonna look for Siobhan,” you yelled over the music in her ear. Dina nodded and walked off while you went the opposite direction. You pushed past the crowd of people, glancing to see if you could see her anywhere. You finally saw her sitting on a couch with a red cup in hand. You smirked and walked faster, yelling out her name to get her attention. When she made eye contact with you, her smile fell from her face. You ignored it and held out your hand to help her up. She disregarded it and stood up on her own, placing her cup down on the table.
“Hey,” she said awkwardly.
You raised an eyebrow and tilted your head slightly. “Hey, you okay?”
She sighed and placed her hands on her hips. You started to wonder if Jesse was right earlier.
“Look, I think we should just be friends.”
“Okay, that’s fine,” you said.
“Cool. I’m sorry if I wasted your time or anything.”
“Nah, we were just hooking up. No hard feelings.”
“Yeah, I just wanted to experiment a bit-”
“Wait, huh?” you interrupted. “Experiment?”
Siobhan averted her gaze to the floor. “Y-Yeah, to see if I liked girls. I had a great time with you, you’re amazing. I just prefer men.”
“You told me you were gay,” you said, although it sounded more like a question.
“I didn’t think you would’ve wanted to do anything with me if I said I wanted to experiment.”
“Siobhan, that’s fine but you should’ve said so.”
“Okay. Are we cool?” she asked, obviously wanting to end the conversation.
You shrugged. “Sure… I’m gonna go now. Have a good night.”
You spun around and sped walked to the other side of the room where Ellie and Dina were standing. They were deep in conversation and didn’t acknowledge you at first. You rested your hand on Dina’s shoulder to get her attention, causing her to jump.
“Jesus!” she exclaimed.
“Jesse was right!”
Ellie watched you and Dina talk over each other in confusion. All she could catch from the conversation was “experiment,” “straight,” and “Siobhan.” Ellie tapped your shoulder and gave you a look. “What the hell are you yapping about?”
“Her friends with benefits was-”
“Sh, Dina!” you whined. “Don’t tell her!”
Ellie understood what Dina was about to say anyways, based on what she heard before. Ellie chuckled and shook her head in disbelief.
“What?” you asked.
“That’s embarrassing,” said Ellie.
You rolled your eyes and ignored her. You leaned back against the wall, your eyes darting across the room to see if there was any girl you were interested in and who might be interested in you. But most of these girls you knew were in relationships or were straight. You sighed in defeat and crossed your arms. “Let’s go smoke,” you muttered, tugging Dina’s shirt to follow you. You were looking for a place to sit when you noticed people sitting in a circle. “Wanna go over there?”
“They’re playing seven minutes in heaven,” Ellie said.
“Ugh, what are we, in middle school?”
“Might be kinda fun. Maybe you can get lucky in a closet since your hookup ditched you for dick.”
You glared up at Ellie and smacked her arm. Ellie put her hands in the air with a smirk. “Just saying.”
You thought over it, knowing Ellie was right. If you couldn’t hook up with anyone else, you might as well makeout with a stranger in a closet. “Let’s go,” you groaned. The three of you made your way over to the group.
“Hey, Ellie,” one of the boys greeted. “Coming to play?”
“Yeah, me and her.”
“I’m just here to watch,” said Dina, sitting outside of the circle. Ellie sat next to the boy and you sat on the other side next to a girl.
“Hey,” the girl slurred. She was shitfaced, her cheeks were red and she kept giggling. “Your necklace is soooo cute!”
“Oh, thank you!”
“Quit chit chatting, Ivory. It’s your turn to spin the bottle!”
The girl, who you now knew as Ivory, perked up and crawled ungracefully to the bottle. She spun it weakly, the bottle landing on a guy to the left of you. He stood up, tripping over nothing but catching his balance. He was equally as wasted. The two of them stumbled away, holding onto each other.
“The closet is over here!” Ellie’s friend yelled. Everyone laughed when they kept going and walked into the bathroom. “Well, I guess it’s your turn.”
You realized the man was talking to you. You cleared your throat and leaned over to grab the bottle. You placed it on the ground and spun it hard, causing it to roll to the other side. It slowed down and tapped Ellie’s foot.
“Oooohh, Ellie!” her friend teased. “Isn’t that the girl Lisa cheated on you with?”
“Yikes, that’s awkward,” someone else said. You gave Ellie a dirty look as she stood up, walking over to you with her hand held out. “Get up,” she demanded. You grabbed her hand and was yanked up roughly. Ellie dragged you into the closet and slammed the door behind her.
“You know, we could’ve-”
“Shut up,” Ellie grumbled.
The two of you tried hard to be as far away from each other as possible but it was difficult. The closet was too small.
“Lisa didn’t cheat on you with me, by the way,” you muttered.
“I don’t want to talk about that.”
“Fine! I guess we’ll stand here in silence.”
Ellie groaned, rubbing her eyes and covering her face behind her hands after. “Why did I suggest playing this stupid game?”
“Hey, you could’ve said no when the bottle landed on you.”
“I’m not a pussy,” Ellie defended herself.
“Whatever.”
The way you had to stand was awkward. Ellie’s feet were together, your feet on either side. You wanted to laugh at how ridiculous you looked but didn’t want to annoy Ellie again.
“Here,” said Ellie, putting her left foot on the other side of your right one. She pushed your foot against her other one so you weren’t in the position you were before. Now, you and Ellie’s feet were intertwined. “You looked uncomfortable.”
“Thanks.”
Ellie crossed her arms, her eyes fixed on you. You looked down to avoid making contact.
“What’s the deal with you and Siobhan?” Ellie suddenly asked.
You scoffed. “Why would I tell you? So you can laugh at me?”
“I won’t laugh. Swear. I just kinda feel like you might wanna talk about it. Might as well talk about it now.”
You sighed, holding out your pinky. “Promise?”
Ellie reluctantly wrapped her pinky with yours. “Um, sure. Promise.”
“Well, I matched with Siobhan on a dating app two months ago. She said she was looking for a fuck buddy and I thought she was pretty cute so we started fucking. But then we got busy, she was dry with me after a month and come to find out, she’s straight and was only experimenting.”
“Damn,” said Ellie. “That sucks.”
“Yeah, tell me about it.”
“Was she any good?”
“Huh?”
“Was she any good?” Ellie repeated.
You shrugged. “She was okay. I was kinda desperate, I guess. I’m not a top but I topped for her. I tried getting her to top me but she refused.”
Ellie raised an eyebrow. “Wait, you’re not a top?”
“Um, no,” you scoffed. “I prefer being a bottom. It was my first time topping, actually. Or… being dominant, I guess is the correct term. So, I guess we were both experimenting.”
Ellie started laughing. She put her hand on the wall beside your head to keep her balance.
“What’s so funny?”
“You’re bullshitting!”
“Hey, I’m not bullshitting!”
“Dude, we both were dating the same person once. You’re lying,” Ellie retorted. Her laughter had died down and her demeanor changed. She was serious and seemed slightly irritated.
“I wasn’t dominant with Lisa,” you uttered. “Were you?”
“Yeah, I was.”
“Oh… didn’t know she was a switch. She never told me that.”
Everything got really quiet again. You checked the time on your phone, wondering if the seven minutes was close to being done yet.
“She did cheat on me with you,” said Ellie. “You said she didn’t but she did.”
“Ellie, she was playing both of us. And yes, she cheated on me with you. Her and I were dating before you guys were.”
“If you say so.”
“Dude, get over it. It happened over a year ago. It’s in the past. Maybe you should be angry at her and not me.”
“I am angry at her and not you.”
“You were so cool at first,” you continued, disregarding what she said. “I thought we were gonna be friends after what happened. I thought us confronting her together was something we were gonna laugh about after but you blew up on me and ignored me. Now, you’re rude anytime I’m around.”
“I was wrong for that,” Ellie admitted. “I’m sorry.”
You were surprised to hear an apology from Ellie. Everything you had planned to say vanished. You rested your hand on her shoulder and squeezed it gently. “It’s okay. I wanted to blow up on you when I first found out about you. But I knew it wasn’t your fault.”
“I know it wasn’t yours either. I was… ugh, nevermind.”
“You can tell me.”
“Forget it.”
Ellie hated talking about her feelings with her own friends. The fact that she was opening up to you a bit terrified her. You kept staring at her intently, a small smile on your lips. You never noticed but she was actually very pretty. The way the light from the crack in the door hit her face made her look ethereal.
“You know, I was kinda hoping there would be someone out there I would wanna hook up with,” you said, changing the subject. Ellie chuckled and nodded.
“Yeah, not a lot of options out there, huh?”
You shook your head no and laughed, leaning your head back on the wall. “I wonder how long we’ve been in here.”
“I think we got a couple minutes left,” said Ellie.
“Guess I won’t get lucky in a closet either,” you joked.
“Do you want to?”
You snorted. “I mean, there’s no one out there who interests me.”
“Well, I’m here.”
Your eyes widened. Ellie stepped forward, completely closing the space between the two of you. Her hand was pressed against the wall as she towered over you. She glanced down at your tight shirt that hugged your chest perfectly. “Not gonna lie, you look good tonight.”
“Ellie…”
“What?”
“C’mon, you’re high. You don’t mean that.”
Despite how weird you were starting to feel, you couldn’t ignore the throbbing between your legs. Your breath grew heavy as she licked her lips and brushed her fingers along your jaw. You were frozen, staring up at her in shock. Ellie’s hand dropped to her side and she laughed. “I’m just joking, dude. Damn, you should see your face right now. Like a deer in headlights.”
“Not f-funny, Ellie,” you mumbled, your face still buzzing from how gentle her touch was.
“What, did I get you all worked up?” she taunted.
Before you could respond, there was a banging at the door. “Time’s up!”
The door opened and you rushed out, leaving Ellie behind. You looked over your shoulder to see her smirking at you. You sat down in the closest chair that was out of view for Ellie, fighting to catch your breath. You felt confused. How was it that it went from the two of you arguing to her making a move on you? Sure, she was just teasing. But the way she looked at you made you think otherwise. You pulled your phone out of your pocket and texted Dina.
hey, where r u????
going back tojessses dorm
hpw was thr closwet???
girl are u wasted… i didnt even see u drink anything tf
a tiny bot i stple a bottle:)
the closet was fine we said nothing to each other the whole time
damn dina did u even eat today???
nopr! srry for missinh it got tpo sick
dont be sorry, drink some water n go to bed. feel better xo
You shoved your phone back in your pocket and sighed. Your mind was going crazy thinking about what happened. To make matters worse, you started wondering how it would’ve been if Ellie was being serious. If she kissed you, felt you up a little bit. Would you have liked it?
-
After an hour of small talk with a few other people and two drinks, the party was finally dying down. Mostly everyone had left and the music no longer played. Usually, you’d be gone by now. But you stayed because Ellie was still there. You could see her eyeing you from across the room, rolling a joint to give to one of her friends. You were gonna wait until she left to go to. A few minutes passed and she finally stood up, making her way to you. You sighed and got up from your seat, waiting for her to approach you.
“Thought you would’ve left by now,” she said once she was a few feet away from you.
“Yeah, me too.”
Ellie leaned against the counter and smiled. “Did you find someone to hookup with?” You shook your head no. “Me neither.”
“Damn,” you mumbled.
“Come home with me.”
You raised an eyebrow at her. “Seriously? Playing a prank on me again?”
“No, I’m not. You’re being annoying asking too many questions all the time. Just get your shit and come with me,” she demanded. You grabbed your bag and followed Ellie. You jogged a bit to catch up so that you were walking by her side. She opened the door for you, watching your ass as you stepped out.
“Is Dina with Jesse tonight?”
“Yeah,” you answered.
“Was wondering where she went.”
“She got too drunk.”
“When did she drink anything?”
“When we were in the closet, apparently,” you said.
“Did you tell her what I did?”
“No.”
“Atta girl,” praised Ellie. You blushed, your heart racing.
“I thought you were ‘just joking,’ Ellie.”
“I was kinda but… we both wanna fuck and there’s no one else to fuck. Thought we could help each other out.”
You said nothing and picked up the pace when the cold air blew harder. You wrapped your arms around yourself as an attempt to feel warm but it didn’t help. You mentally cursed yourself for forgetting a coat.
“Wanna borrow my hoodie?” Ellie asked.
“It’s fine.”
“You can wear it until we get there,” Ellie pulled her hoodie over her head, revealing a baggy black t-shirt and her tatted arm. She threw it at you and chuckled when you yelped.
“Thanks, Ellie.” You shoved it over your head and sighed at the warmth. You could smell her cologne and weed, which comforted you. Ellie’s phone started to ring. She groaned and pulled it out, answering without checking the ID.
“What?” she snapped. She slowed to a stop and sighed. “Dammit, okay. I guess I’ll go to my girl’s dorm instead. Bye.” Ellie shoved her phone back in her jean pocket, cussing under her breath. “We’re gonna have to go to your dorm.”
“That’s fine,” you said.
“Not really. I told my roommate I was bringing a girl home and to go to his girl’s place if he finds one. He doesn’t listen.”
“Well, luckily I have the room all to myself since Dina is with Jesse.”
The dorms came into view. You were growing anxious, suddenly aware of what was about to happen. You wanted this and you knew you did. At first, it was because of desperation. But now, you wanted it because it was with Ellie. You felt strange. You didn’t even like her. You weren’t even drunk enough to blame it on alcohol. Maybe it excited you to have sex with someone you hated. Whatever it was, you didn’t care. At least you were getting something.
When the two of you finally got to your dorm, you both stood there awkwardly. Ellie’s boldness from earlier was long gone. You set your bag down and kicked your shoes off. “I’m gonna take my makeup off,” you mumbled. Ellie stayed quiet and sat down on the bed, studying the posters on your wall. Since Ellie wasn’t looking, you decided to undress and change into a tank top. You got the last bit of makeup off and threw the wipe in the trash. You sat down next to Ellie, gaining her attention. She smirked at the polka dot boyshorts you were wearing.
“That’s real grown up,” she teased.
“Hey, they’re comfortable.”
Ellie placed a hand on your thigh, slowly running it up and down your exposed skin. “I wish we could’ve gone to my place,” she whispered, her hand getting closer to your panties. You didn’t realize you were holding your breath until you went to speak. “W-Why?”
“I was gonna fuck you with a strap. And you could’ve been as loud as you wanted.” Ellie tugged on your thigh, signaling you to open your legs. You spread them and watched Ellie lean over to admire the wetness that showed. “God, I was gonna fucking ruin you. Get up and strip for me,” she commanded. You got up and stepped between her knees, letting her run her hands all over your body as you pulled your tank top over your head. “Fuck,” she breathed. She grabbed your chest and squeezed tightly, eliciting a moan from you. She sat up and wrapped her mouth around your nipple, her tongue going in circles and flicking the bud. Your fingers went through Ellie’s hair and tugged at the strands. She groaned, wrapping her arms around your body and slamming you onto the bed.
She shoved your panties down and put her hand over your cunt. You bucked your hips forward, begging for her to do more. She brought her thumb down and placed it on your clit. “Is this what you wanted?”
You nodded, a whine escaping your lips as she moved her thumb in a circle over the bundle of nerves. She grinned watching your body writhe in pleasure. Your soft moans filled the room, growing louder as she sped up. Her hand covered your mouth to stifle them. “Sh, sh, sh… don’t want anyone hearing, do you?” You shook your head. “Then shut up, will you?”
You tried to keep quiet but it was hard. Ellie was too good with her fingers. You could already feel that familiar burning in your stomach, meaning you were close. Ellie noticed your squeals and whimpers were coming out quicker and more desperate. She kept her thumb on your clit and slipped in two fingers, pressing down harder on your mouth to muffle your whining. She fingered you at a fast pace, her thumb still going in circles. You felt dizzy, overwhelmed with how good it felt. Ellie put a third finger in, your cunt tightening around her digits. Ellie was amused watching you come undone beneath her. Before you knew it, your orgasm took over you. It was powerful, coming in waves that made your body convulse and forced you to bite your lip hard to keep from screaming. Ellie pulled her fingers out and sucked them clean.
You laid there, fighting to catch your breath. Ellie leaned over and grabbed your tank top and panties, placing them beside you. She got up and disappeared to the bathroom and came back out with a wet rag. “Here,” she said as she held it out to you. “You kinda made a mess.” You took the rag and raised up, cleaning up your thighs and handing it back to Ellie. “Thanks,” you mumbled. You shoved your clothes back on and got underneath the covers while Ellie sat on Dina’s bed. You felt awkward with the uncomfortable silence that fell over you two. You wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words.
“I… think I’m gonna go,” said Ellie, standing up to grab her hoodie. “I’ll text you, okay?”
“Oh, okay. Get home safe.”
Ellie left without saying anything else. You were so confused. You had a great time with her but once it ended, you felt weird. Like it wasn’t supposed to happen but at the same time, you were elated. You’ve never came so quickly before in your life and it definitely never felt that good. You had no clue how it got to this point. She spent the whole year either ignoring you or being short with you. Tonight was the first time she actually really talked to you and you realized that before the closet. You wondered if she really would text you. This was a one time thing and you knew that. A part of you wished it wouldn’t be.

six thirty
tj hughes x fem! reader
warnings?: cursing, jealousy, smut!!, fluff
positions fics masterlist
~act so possessive and crazy but i know that’s just cause you love me~
-
“baby it’s just for a project i’ll be back soon.” you say putting on your shoes.
“i don’t like the way your partner acts though. i don’t want you to go without me.”
“tj you’ll be no help. it’s for a class you’ve never taken.” you say standing up.
“i will sit there in silence.” he replies.
“why don’t you trust me?” you say crossing your arms, a little hurt at the way he’s acting.
“i do trust you, i don’t trust him.” he stresses to you.
“that’s basically the same thing.”
“okay whatever, have fun doing your god damn project y/n.” tj says walking away from you and shutting his bedroom door. you sigh, stepping out the door. you hated leaving your boyfriend angry like this but you were already running behind. you scrape the snow off your windshield as quickly as you could and drove to the coffee shop the two of you had agreed upon.
“hey.” you say walking in and sitting down.
“hey what’s up?” he says and you sit down across from him.
“yep, i shared the document with you already.”
“okay awesome.” you reply, the two of you sat working together, having great small talk over the course of the next two hours.
“so y/n.”
“hmm?” you say looking up from the screen.
“can you come look at this?” he asks.
“yeah of course.” you say getting out of your seat and sitting next to him in the booth.
“i can’t tell if this looks right.” he states, placing a soft hand around your waist. you ignored the gesture, hoping he would back off, not wanting to make it awkward.
“um yeah, id say it looks right.” you smile at him, standing up going back to your seat.
“okay perfect thanks.” he says, the two of you going silent again.
“hey y/n.”
“hmm?” you hum looking up from your screen.
“how have you been?”
“i’ve been good, how are you?”
“i’ve been great. there’s just something i wanted to ask you.” he says.
“okay?” you continue, fearing tj may have been right.
“well we have great chats and we work well together, i feel a little something between us. so i was wondering if i could maybe take you out sometime?” he asks, fully knowing you are with the hockey player. the same one you’ve been with for almost a year.
“oh uh, well i’m flattered but i can’t. i’m sorry if ive given you the wrong idea. i have a boyfriend.”
“that’s never stopped me before.” he says, shocking you to the core. you laugh nervously and shut your laptop, putting it back into your bag.
“it’s been great to get this project done but i think it’d be better if we finish on our own time, i shouldn’t be here.” you say standing up and pushing in your chair.
“okay?”
“sorry.” you say exiting quickly. you sped home eagerly waiting to get back home to tj. guilt washed over you as you got closer and closer. when you pull into the driveway, you practically sprint inside.
“tj!” you call out, seeing his door open.
“kitchen.” he says blandly and you walk in after scrambling to remove your shoes.
“project done?” he asks taking a bite out of an apple.
“kind of? sort of?”
“you were there for hours what do you mean ‘kind of?’” he says, his voice raising slightly. he was already mad and you knew what you were about to say would send him off the rails.
“i don’t know. listen, tj i’m sorry. you were right and i should’ve listened to you.”
“what the fuck did he do y/n?” he asks, his tone growing tenser.
“please don’t be upset.”
“tell me.”
“he asked me to check his work to see if it was right, so i did because it’s both of our grades and he wrapped his arm around my waist but i ignored it because i didn’t wanna make it awkward before the project was finished but then he asked me out and i said no i have a boyfriend and he goes on to say that it’s never stopped him before, so i packed my shit and i ran out of there. i’m so sorry tj, please don’t be mad.” you say, your eyes pricking with tears.
“i told you not to go without me. i told you so many god damn times and you just didn’t listen. why didn’t you listen?” he says running his fingers through his hair stressfully.
“i know im sorry, i just tried to make the best decision for me to get my work done and now i feel awful about it. im sorry.” you say finally letting the sobs escape your mouth.
“oh y/n.” he says placing the apple down on the counter and rounding the corner, his tone changing instantly, wrapping his arms around you tightly.
“it’s my fault this happened. i feel horrible.” you sob.
“baby i know you meant well, you always see the best in everyone. please don’t cry.”
“its a fucking curse and it always bites me in the ass, i don’t like it when you’re mad at me teej.”you say sniffling into his chest.
“i know i know, i can’t stay mad at you honey. look at me,” he says and you pull away slightly, looking up at him with your face stained with mascara, “you didn’t expect it to happen, it’s gonna be okay. i’m sorry that i freaked out on you.” he continues softly, brushing your hair out of your face.
“you freaking out on me was justified, how stupid could i be to not listen to you? nothing good ever happens whenever you warn me and i ignore you. i don’t know why i thought this would be different.”
“you’re a good person y/n/n. you’re so sweet and pure, and you just love people. there is no shame in that. i love you, and i will always stand behind you no matter what okay?”
“okay.” you smile lightly as he kisses you on the forehead.
“come on let’s go clean you up.” he says, guiding you into his bedroom, tossing you one of his shirts and a pair of his boxers. you remove your clothes, putting his on while he turns the bathroom light on. you walk in and he has all of your night routine products sprawled on the counter.
“come here.” he says and you walk over to him. he lifts you onto the counter gently and smiles. he grabs the cotton rounds and micellar water, soaking it generously and begins to delicately wipe away the mascara that stained your cheeks.
“you should consider buying a mascara that doesn’t run so much, especially in the winter with this wind. i know it makes your eyes water, you always have little black smudges in the corner of your eyes.”
“noted.” you giggle as he kisses you on your freshly cleaned face.
“there’s my beautiful girl.” he says causing your heart to flutter. tj was a sweetheart and you never failed to melt at his kind words.
“now i’m gonna moisturize you and run us a bath yeah?” he suggests and you nod vigorously.
“okay.” he smiles, gently rubbing in the moisturizer as you shut your eyes. his care for you went beyond words.
“i’ll start the water and you grab some candles?” he says backing away as you open your eyes. you simply hop off the counter and walk back into his bedroom, grabbing all the candles you had bought for the room, which was a lot. you ran into the kitchen and grabbed the lighter, walking quickly back to the bathroom. you lit and placed candles around the room and flipped off the lights. the room was now lit dimly and intimately.
“i added lavender and bubbles.” he smirks and you laugh.
“my favorite.”
“i just know you so well.” he laughs as the two of you removed all of your clothes. as much as being naked around tj usually led to sex, you’d never been less horny. in fact you had no desire to touch him in that way, all you felt was romance, but in the purest way. he climbs into the bath, getting situated before waving you in, positioning yourself between his legs, laying your back onto his chest. he presses a light kiss to the back of your head as the two of you sat in a comfortable silence.
“i’m sorry again for yelling at you baby. it’s not right, i should never raise my voice at you.” he says wrapping his arms around you.
“it’s okay, i don’t ever wanna feel like i’m invalidating your feelings by ignoring your warnings. i hope I’ve never made you feel like i was pushing your feelings aside” you reply as you lean your head against his cheek.
“you haven’t.” he simply states, leading into more silence.
“i love you tj.”
“i love you more.” he says, nudging his head into the crook of your neck, kissing and sucking on the sensitive skin. the sexual energy in the ring going from zero to one hundred within seconds.
“baby.” you whisper as he continues, his hands find their way onto your tits, you placing your hands on top of his. your eyes shutting at the sensation that had you seeing stars. he presses one final kiss to your neck before leaning back up. his hands gliding down your torso, your hands following on top of his.
“my beautiful beautiful girl, i could never stay mad at you. not for more than a second.” he says lowly.
“i don’t deserve you.”
“yes you do, and so much more.” he says quietly kissing you on the shoulder.
“tj.”
“what baby?” he asks.
“need you.” you say simply and he sighs.
“we have all night love. i’ll show you everything you deserve. tonight is all about you.” he says interlocking your fingers.
“okay.” you smile to yourself.
“i love you.” he whispers kissing you on the cheek.
“i love you too.”
-
once the two of you drained the tub and moved all the candles to your bedroom, you laid on the bed with your robe tied loosely. tj stepped out of the bathroom, a towel hung loosely around his hips as he smiles at you.
“come here.” you beckon him over as he leans over to kiss you, his lips lingering on yours for a moment before backing away slowly. he climbs onto the bed next to you, shedding the towel.
“baby.” he mutters and you roll over, your robe now untied.
“yeah?”
“you’re so gorgeous.” he smiles, a blush creeping onto your cheeks.
“thank you.” you reply as you shimmy out of your robe. he finds his way on top of you, his hips between your legs as he looks over you, scanning every inch of your face.
“what are you doing?” you giggle.
“just looking at you.” he smirks kissing you on the cheek.
“if i had a shot for every time you’ve made me blush in the last hour, id be dead from alcohol poisoning.” he giggle, a smile spreading on his cheeks.
“because i wanna make sure you know how much i love you.” he says, two fingers dragging through your already soaked folds.
“fuck tj.” you say arching your back as his lips find their way back to your neck, latching on like a vampire. he backs away looking at you again before looking down, lining himself up with you, pushing in slowly, forcing a moan out of your throat.
“my baby.” he says, his hand finding its way to your chest as he connects his lips to yours. his thrusts smooth and slow at a pace that was unforgiving.
“fuck that feels amazing.” you say practically in a whisper, his hands now on either side of your head, his damp hair brushing your forehead as you lock eyes. in that moment, you saw in him something you’d always known deep down. he was the only one that could love you how you deserved to be loved, even if you had your occasional differences.
“you’re so fucking perfect.” he says, attaching your lips hastily, picking up his pace slightly.
“oh fuck i’m close.” you say, your arms wrapping around his back, tightening your walls around him with each thrust.
“let go baby, let go.” he says as the pressure that had built in your abdomen fizzled away in an instant. he fucked you right through your high before spilling his own climax deep into you.
“oh my god tj.” you say breathlessly as he pulls out of you, running to the bathroom to grab a damp towel to clean you with.
“that was the best sex i’ve ever had.” you giggle as he lays down next to you.
“maybe that’s because i actually love you and i will for the rest of our lives.” he suggests.
“that might be the difference between this and my first time.” you giggle and he kisses your cheek.
“i’m sorry again for freaking out on you. i don’t know what got into me.” he says with your arm draped over his chest.
“it’s okay honey. you were worried and you had every right to be, he was sketchy. i should’ve listened to you and from now on i will never ever question your judgement. okay?”
“okay.” he smiles, kissing you softly.
“i love you.” you say smiling.
“i love you more.”

Note
Deep down, Tim knows that they are at fault. Deep down he knows that Jason and Damian attacking him like that *isn't ok*. But that's a truth he can't bring himself to face because even if he did, would Anyone believe him? If he told Bruce or Dick that the attacks still happened, that one of them tried to take his life at least once a month still, that neither of them would do anything. Tim doesn't know if they would defend him and punish Jason and Damian, or if they would just say, "you need to be more careful Tim, they can't always control themselves." And if the answer is anything but the first he knows his heart wouldn't be able to take it.
Instincts are there, but they are easy to over come. They very from shifter type to shifter type and usually fall into groups by Animal Type. Such as a Tiger and a Housecat will have similar instinctive problems but they won't be the same as a Wolf or Dolphin's. As a snake Tim 100% has the urge to nap in warm places and does get slower when cold. His suit has special heaters in it that the others don't have due to his inability to regulate his own heat. Damian insists that Tim being unable to function without "a bunch of hand warmers" I'd proof that he shouldn't be in the field and should be fired. Tim bites his forked tongue to stop himself from screaming that if Damian can't not give into his instincts and attack Tim anytime he sees him Shifted then he shouldn't be in the field because he's gunna attack a civilian.
Also for now Bruce has no idea how shifters work. But this is Good Dad Bruce. He's going to put in Effort. He's *going* to find the resources he needs to parent this New Tim because he doesn't think he can bring himself to send any version of any of his children to a home that could hurt or likely kill them. Until then, Bruce is going to insist on New Tim (he gets called TJ thanks to Duke. After all, they can't call him Drake, he hates Timothy, Tim would be confusing, and neither Tim likes the idea of being called "Jackson") takes one of their spare rooms and gets a full 8 hours of sleep every night/day and 3 full meals a day. TJ was Visibly Confused by this due to the fact he hasn't been staying in the manor at all for almost a year due to Damian and Jason. He only sleeps in his nest which has Beyond Batlevel Security to keep them out.
Also, I can't decide. Would a healthier version of Damian and Jason stay away like Tim wants them to or would they go "no *fuck* your bastard excuses for Brothers we will teach you what it's like to actually trust and have us have your back."
Tim not seeking an answer or help is very angsty. He chose his emotional/mental health over his physical well being. Part of it may be him knowing how to navigate the murder attempts but not knowing how bringing this up would change the status quo (in possibly worse ways).
I like what you've added about Tim's instincts. A good milestone for that batfamily is if they find Tim napping on a window seat. This would be a huge show of trust by him and an indication that he feels safe.
I think a healthier version of them would give Tim space and communicate boundaries with him, but they would also try to bond with him.
For Damian, this is a lot of parallel bonding. The kid will find wherever Tim is in the Manor and sit in the same room with him doing something different (like drawing or doing his homework). It is an effective way for Tim to get used to his presence and stop seeing him as a threat. Of course, Tim is nervous or on edge the first 10 or so times this happens. Eventually, he starts to lower his guard enough that Damian can make a comment or two. They slowly work up to full conversations and Tim seeking out Damian's presence himself.
For Jason, he'd try to read in places near Tim as well. His main strategy, though, might be favors or gifts. He'd learn what foods Tim likes, what activities Tim wants/needs to do that Bruce won't let him (like sneaking out), and generally just helping Tim out in small ways. It at first freaks Tim out, but they work up to Tim himself asking Jason for favors.

𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐭 - 𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐮𝐞𝐫
in which after months of crushing on your best friend, you finally decide to admit your feelings to him pairing: nick moldenhauer x fem!reader warnings: swear words, not proofread a/n: im in such a moldy mood tonight, so yeah, enjoy this :DD
Tumblr media
You couldn't quite remember when you first realized your feelings for the boy. Maybe it was when he dedicated that goal to you on your birthday. Or maybe when he gave you his jacket after one of his game because you freezing. Or maybe your feelings at just always been there since the beginning, but you had never noticed them.
You didn't know, but what you did know was that there was no way on earth you could ever tell him how felt. No matter how many times the Fantilli brother's, who were the first to catch up on why you'd always turn red whenever Moldy would be near you, told you to just admit to him. You couldn't. Your friendship with the boy was one you held so close to your heart, you truly didn't have any other friendship like this one, and you didn't want to lose it.
"I don't get why you don't just tell him." Luca mumbled, making you roll your eyes as the two of you walked into his bedroom. You had agreed to help the boy with your shared class since he had missed the last one due to having to travel to UMass.
"And ruin one of the best friendship I've ever had? Yeah, right." It was Luca's turn to roll his eyes as he let himself fall onto his mattress. He was about to answer, when his mouth suddenly closed, an idea popping into his head.
"You don't want to tell him because you think he doesn't like you back, which I gotta say you're real fucking stupid for thinking he doesn't, but that's why, right?"
"I don't think he doesn't like me, Lu, I know." You answered with just as much sass as he previously spoke. His eyes rolled to the back of his head at your words.
"How about, I prove to you he does?"
"And how are you planning on doing that?" You asked, sitting down on his bed near his legs, his body now laying fully on his bed.
"Make him jealous, duh." He sassed, making you scoff a little.
"And how am I supposed to do that, Sherlock?"
"Go to the hangout with me tonight." He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. You looked at him with an 'are you serious' look, making the boy push his body so you were sitting face to face. "Trust me. Just stay by my side the whole night, be my pong partner instead of his, he'll lose his mind."
You hated to admit he was right. You were now standing in front of Luca, one of his arm around your waist as your eyes focused on the ping pong ball in TJ's hand. You could feel Luca's breath on the back of your neck, as well as Nick's eyes staring at the two of you from across the table.
"It's working." The Fantilli boy whispered into your ears. You smiled slightly, turning your head to look at him. Ever since you had walked into the senior household earlier that night, one of Luca's arm around your waist, Nick's eyes had been focused on the two of you. The forward quickly downed his drink when he saw you sit on his best friend's lap, the two of choosing to sit on the very crowded couch instead of the empty one. When it was pong time, Luca was quick to announce the two of you would be teaming up, which mean Nick had to find a new partner.
Luca pressed a kiss right next to your lips, something you had agreed to before walking into the house. But from Nick's point of you, it looked like the two of had just shared a very intimate kiss. The boy decided he had enough and just walked away from the game, leaving everyone confused.
"Go after him." Luca mumbled, pushing towards where the boy had just left. Everyone's confused eyes watched as you made your way out of the house, joining Moldy on the front porch.
"The game wasn't done, you know." You immediately cursed yourself mentally for saying that. Nick scoff as he leaned down on the rail with his forearms, rolling his eyes slightly.
"Go away." He whispered, scoffing once again when you instead joined him, leaning on the rail next to him.
"What's wrong?"
"You."
"Me?"
"Yeah, you. How long have you been fucking my best friend behind my back?" He asked harshly, pushing himself up and turning his body to be facing you.
"Me and Luca aren't fucking. He's my friend."
"Then why the fuck were his hands all over you? And why'd he kiss you, huh?" The boy asked, taking a step closer to you.
"Can you stop? God, Nick, you're acting like your five, getting made 'cause I have other friends that aren't you!" You yelled, taking a step back and creating more space between the two of you. "Why do you even care so much about me and Luca?"
"So, you admit there's something going on between you two?"
"I didn't fucking say that, Nick. Can you just get your head out of your ass for one minute and fucking listen to what I am saying!" You spoke, your voice still has loud as before. the boy didn't speak after that, a sign that he was finally going to listen to what you had to say.
"There's nothing going on between me and Luca, okay? We're friends, always have and always will be. I was feeling down and he was just trying to cheer me up, nothing more." You explained, technically you didn't lie. You were in fact feeling upset, but making Nick jealous was the main reason why Luca had been all over you tonight, but that's not something Nick needed to know.
"Why didn't you come see me? Y/N/N I am always here for you, always." He whispered. You could hear a small hint of hurt in his voice by the fact that you choose to go see his instead of him to cheer you up.
"It's not something I can just talk to you about, Nicky." You sighed, getting slightly nervous.
"Why not? You can talk to me about anything, Y/N/N, I won't judge you, you know that." He stated, sounding even more hurt than before.
"It's... it's complicated." You answered, your eyes looking at the ground. Well, that was until Nick stepped closer to you, cupping your face in his hands and forcing you to look at him. You leaned into his touch, letting out a small breath of relief at the contact between your skins.
"Talk to me, munch." He whispered, using the nickname he had chosen for you, shorting munchkin because he was too lazy to pronounce the last syllable.
"I can't."
"Why not?"
"You. I can't talk to you... about you." You admitted, trying to look down at the ground again, but Nick was quick to keep your focus on him.
"Me? What about me?"
"Promise me... promise me nothing's gonna change."
"I promise, Y/N/N." The boy whispered. You nodded slightly in response before finally admitting how you felt.
"When... when I am with you, I get like this weird feeling in my stomach, a good feeling. I just always wanna be around you; you make me happy, so happy. I want you in my life until forever, and just the thought of losing you to someone else makes me sick." You confessed, your eyes avoiding his, but glancing every now and then to him.
"Y/N, I don't understand..." He trailed off. You suddenly felt embarrassed, this was a horrible idea. You should've never listened to Luca.
"Forget it." You mumbled, trying to walk away from him, but his grip was too strong.
"Hey, hey, don't walk away. You know I am not the brightest kid out there." He quickly said, pulling you into his chest as his arms wrapped around your shoulders. Your own went around his waist as your head rested on his chest, his chin on the top of your head. "Talk to me, munch."
"I love you, idiot. In more than a best friend way." You finally told him. After a couple of seconds, Nick pulled you away from his chest, and before you even had a chance to react, his lips were on yours.
"You could've just said so instead of cozying up with Fantilli all night. Y/N/N, I've had like the biggest crush on you since we've met, I thought I made it pretty obvious." He chuckled. You felt your cheeks burn as a shy smile appeared on your face.
"Wanna be my boyfriend?" You ask shyly, giggling lightly. The boy in front of you nodded eagerly before connecting your lips again. The two of you eventually got a little carried away, now standing on the porch deep into a make-out session.
"Okay, as much as I am loving the two of finally growing up, you are not making babies on this porch." Luca spoke out after a couple of minutes, literally pulling the two of you apart. "Keep that shit to your bedrooms. And wear protection!"
"Luca!"

________
“Y/N.” You felt TJ behind you, his strong arms wrapping around your waist, holding you close. “What do you need right now?”
You smiled to yourself, closing your eyes. For every bad thing that’d happened in your life, you were still amazed at how lucky you were to have found someone that loved you wholly. He was still the one person that you’d never once doubted cared for you, never struggled with sharing the dark parts of your past.
There were things you’d only told him even, the details behind vague statements to your parents. Yet he stayed and never complained about what being with a person with scars was like. It’d be so much easier for him to have found a normal girl, so much less for him to worry about.
“I probably would have wound up with a not so nice guy if I’d not gone to my parents when I was a teenager. I would have fallen for the first guy that was nice and sweet just so he could get me in bed or worse. I was so fucking starved for attention and love back then. I was so goddamn lonely.”
He squeezed you tighter, tucking his head down so he could burrow his face in your neck, kissing it softly.
“My dad showed me what to look for in a man. My mom too. They taught me how I was supposed to be treated when I was in a relationship.” You opened your eyes, staring out the back window again. “How did I let those assholes make me afraid of my parents? I hate that I pushed them away, TJ. It’s better now but it’s not. I feel so guilty.”
“It’s only been a few days since things got back to normal. Give it some time. Try therapy with them, bring ‘em to a session.”
“Honey, I know exactly what the therapist would say. I had this same conversation when I was in college. I know it’s because I want people to be angry at me when I make a mistake. It’s what I expect. It’s what my childhood taught me, my time in foster care did.”
“Alright,” he said, kissing the side of my head. “So how’d they say to not feel guilty back then?”
“They suggested I spend time with them so I could understand that my guilt had no basis. That they loved me no matter what and that’s what the whole unconditional thing meant. It’s not bad to get afraid. It’s human and we shouldn’t be ashamed of being afraid.”
“So go spend some time with your parents,” he said.
“I spend too much time with them already,” you said, squeezing your eyes shut as he spun you around in his hold. “Other people our age-”
“I don’t give a fuck about other people our age. Our family lives around the corner and frankly, I hope they always do. I love them. I enjoy their company. Honey, I can promise you that having a close, loving family is a good thing. Allie and Colin? They fucking adore their grandparents. They regularly get to see their aunts and uncle. We have amazing family friends they get to grow up with. Those two kids are never, ever, going to doubt they they are loved and supported. You and I could die tomorrow and I know those two will turn out amazing. I promise you, we will never spend too much time with our family.”
“I worry you think I’m too needy sometimes,” you whispered, meeting his gaze. His face was gentle, short black hair still damp from his shower. “But I’ve never doubted you. I just don’t want to put too much on you. I don’t want to take away time that should be yours.”
“Oh you sweet, silly, adorable, idiot,” he chuckled, tucking your hair behind your ear, letting his finger trail down the side of your throat. “We have forever together. I know how lucky I am to spend as much time as I do with you. My job is flexible and only getting more with time. And you? You’re turning set design into a career now. What couple our age gets to spend so much of our time together? Believe me, I’m greedy to be with you as much as I can be but I am more than happy to share you with our family.”
He cupped your cheek, smiling while he gently stroked over your cheekbone. “Give spending some extra time with them a shot for me. Okay, silly goose?”
“Where did I find you?” you whispered, nuzzling into his chest.
“Orientation. I was the boy awkwardly staring at you for so long you asked if I had heatstroke.” You laughed at the memory of him just blank faced, sweating in the boiling summer heat as you stood with your orientation packet and attempted to find your parents in the crowd. You thought he was from out of state with the way he was dripping and offered him some water while finding him some shade to hide beneath.
By the time he’d gotten his words back, you’d realized he was there on his own. No family to help him move in, find buildings, buy books. It wasn’t a conscious thought back then but you knew that ache of loneliness. Even people who came from homes with parents could feel like they were by themselves.
“Lucky for me you took pity on me and instead of thinking I was a creeper, you showed me which line to get my packet from and pointed out where buildings were on maps and all of it. I was in love with you before I even knew your name.”
“Thomas,” you said, cheeks flushing. “Don’t be cute when I was feeling crappy five minutes ago.”
“Ah, but that’s my favorite thing to do,” he teased, kissing the tip of your nose. “Now off you go.”
“To where?” you laughed, TJ walking you over to the front door.
“To your parents, silly. It’s only nine and we both know they don’t sleep until late. Go hang for a bit, talk to them about being together more. Me and my perky butt will be waiting here for you when you get back.”
“Okay, well that’s just cruel to put that image in my mind and then send me away,” you said as he bent down and slipped a pair of sneakers on your feet. He looked up through his lashes, putting on a sultry smile. “TJ! Stop turning me on!”
“Don’t blame me for you being stunning,” he said, rising to his feet and pecking a kiss to your lips. “Drive over for me.”
“Okay,” you said. “What are you planning on doing in the meantime?”
“Check on the munchkins, play a video game, lay in bed in my birthday suit to greet you when you get back.”
“Just don’t scar the children for life,” you laughed, feeling a gentle pat on your ass. TJ ushered you to go when you nearly dragged him towards the bedroom and finally you were out the door. Two minutes later, you were walking into your parents house, the place pretty dark. JJ was at a graduation party and spending the night there. The twins were up in the family room watching an old movie with the lights off, totally engrossed with it. You figured your parents were on their private balcony and headed for their room.
“Oh fuck!” you shouted when you saw way more of your father than you ever wanted to. You quickly slammed the door and stood outside the room, pacing away as you shook your head. “Nope. Nope. Nope. I didn’t see that. I did not see that.”
The door opened after a moment, your mom slipping out in a pair of joggers and a silky black pajama shirt.
“I am so sorry, honey. I thought dad locked the door,” she said as you kept walking, shaking your head. “Are you okay?”
“Was he giving you a fucking naked lap dance?” you said, a coy smile on her face as she shrugged. “Mom!”
“Oh, you’ve seen his ass before when you watched The Boys,” she said.
“I knew that was going to happen! And I saw a whole lot more than just ass,” you said, shivering your whole body as the twins came down from their movie.
“I remember when I walked in on them,” said your brother, wearing a shit eating grin as you groaned. “Dad’s got a huge-”
“I don’t need a reminder!” you said, your dad clearing his throat as he came out in a pair of sweatpants and gray t-shirt.
“Things going okay out here?” he asked, forcing a smile.
“Talking about your apparently huge dick,” said Arrow. Your mom couldn’t help but laugh as your dad groaned, the twins starting to giggle. “What? It’s the truth.”
“While I normally appreciate how open we are as a family, I mean this in the nicest way, we are never bringing this topic up again,” said your dad with a sigh. “Go finish your movie and for the love of god never talk about this again.”
Your mom was still laughing, earning a small headlock from him. “It’s your fault you didn’t lock the door!”
“Yes, I know,” he groaned, letting her go and standing in front of you with an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry for scaring you for life, kiddo.”
“It’s fine,” you sighed, crossing your arms. “In terms of traumatizing events, this ranks pretty low for me. Besides, mom told me when I started having sex with TJ about your sex life.”
His head whipped around and she held up her hands. “Hey. She had questions and I answered them.”
“I wouldn’t have told her how big…you know,” he grumbled.
“I didn’t. I just said above average is nice!”
“As much fun as this conversation is, I’d like to repress this memory if possible so I’m going to let you guys continue with your magic mike moment-”
You heard the twins howl in laughter, your dad storming past you and over towards the stairs.
“You two start high school in the fall and guess what talk we’re having tomorrow?” he said. They both groaned for a moment before you heard noise again, your dad wiping his hand over his face.
“They both know what sex is,” you said, his eyes wide. “I gave them both the talk like years ago.”
“You did?” they both asked.
“Yeah. I gave it to all of them. It’s a lot easier for big sis to tell you than mom and dad, especially when dad makes talking about sex so freaking awkward,” you said, cocking your head.
“Well, thank you,” he said, nodding once. “And if that’s something you want to discuss, then we can.”
“I’m good. I just enjoy torturing you in return for the trauma I endured tonight,” you said with a smile. Your mom giggled as he pushed you both into the bedroom, closing the door behind himself.
“Well the mood is gone so what’s up?” he asked as you sat very specifically not on the bed and wandered over to the large window out back. You spun on your heels, both of them watching with concerned eyes.
“I…have been feeling guilty about doubting you guys that you’d hurt me like the sperm and egg donor did and…I’d like to try that thing we did when I was younger and spending more time with you guys helped…if that’s cool,” you said, biting your bottom lip.
“Honey, of course you can hang out with us more often,” said your mom. She wrapped you up in a hug, letting you melt into her. “Dad and I were talking earlier and hoping we could steal some time with you. We missed you.”
“I missed you guys too,” you said, feeling your dad come up behind you and hug you, resting his chin on your shoulder.
“You don’t have anything to feel guilty about,” he whispered, kissing the top of your head.
“I know I shouldn’t but I know I hurt you both and that’s something I have to deal with.”
“It hurts more knowing how much you hurt yourself for being human, kiddo,” he said.
“I know how scared you were that I’d stop-“
“You didn’t stop loving us,” he said. “You were afraid and sometimes, your kids get scared. It’s that simple.”
You nodded, enjoying being squished between them, a calm feeling settling in your bones.
“There she is,” he murmured as he felt you relax. “Better?”
“Yeah,” you said. Your mom tugged you over to the bed, your eyebrows raising.
“It’s clean, I promise.” She slid into her side of the bed, tugging you down in the middle as your dad moved in on your other side. “So we could watch a movie, play a game-“
“Guys,” you said. “It’s okay. You had other plans-“
“And now our plans are to spend time with you,” said your dad, throwing his arm over your shoulders, tucking you into his side. You glanced up, frowning at the deep worry in his eyes. “Honey, you never have to ask us to be with you like you’re some kind of bother. Please know that.”
“You know me,” you said, your mom scooting closer, taking one of your hands in hers. “Can I maybe, I know how this is going to sound-“
“Y/N. Ask like we’re your mom and dad, not strangers,” said your mom.
“I know that too. I’m a little shaky I guess,” you breathed out, both of them holding your closer. “Can we spend more time together, like one on one? Like make a night or something for us like we did when I was younger? That really helped me back then and TJ thinks it’ll help now too.”
“Knew there was a reason I loved that boy,” said your mom. “Of course we can do that.”
You felt your dad stiffen though, your head turning up. He looked sad, pouting almost.
“You have to go away for a project soon, don’t you,” you said quietly.
“Oh no,” said your mom, her hand leaving yours, both of them covering her mouth. “We both have to for two weeks starting on Tuesday. Daddy’s gone for over a month.”
“JJ was going to be in charge and we were going to come home on the weekends but-“
“You have work. I understand.” Still, tears prickled in the corner of your eyes. Why’d you have to be so stupid and push them away for the past month? Now they were both going to be gone.
“Come with us.” Your dad turned your cheek to face him, wiping away a stray droplet before it could fall. “We need to be together again for a little bit. Come to the project with us for two weeks and then you can decide to stay with me or go home with mom but either way you got at least one of us.”
“That’s a long time to be away from Allie and Colin,” you said, biting your bottom lip. “But I know TJ can handle it. I need to talk to him first. I can’t make that kind of decision on my own.”
“We understand. Trust me. Dad and I have had a lot of those conversations over the years.” You already knew TJ would tell you to go and have fun. But you’d never spent more than a few days away from the kids.
“The little one’s will survive. Give ‘em a call and facetime them everyday and it helps. Believe me, nothing beats a hug from them when you’ve been gone for a few weeks,” said your dad. “They’ve dealt with TJ being gone for a week for work before. They’ll be alright if you choose to go.”
“I know they would. It’s me I don’t know about,” you said, closing your eyes. “Let me talk to TJ and I’ll give you guys an answer in the morning.”
“Whatever you want to do. We can always hang out when we get back too,” he said, kissing your temple. “So can I interest you ladies in a game of Mario Kart?”
Three days later you were walking into an upscale cabin you were sharing with your parents, most of the other cabins at the unique little hotel filled with cast and crew for the movie your parents were making. They were producing it and your dad was starring as the main character. You’d done the set design on it nearly a year prior and while you’d forgotten most of the story, you were excited to see one of your sets in person. Plus you hadn’t seen your dad on a film set in more than a few years and knew seeing him act in person was a rare treat.
After you ditched your bags in the spare bedroom, you changed and met up with your parents for a pre-shoot dinner they were hosting at a restaurant in town with the cast and some of the higher ups. While the dinner was fun, you were tired from traveling all the way to Vancouver all day. You ducked outside to give TJ a quick call but were reluctant to go back inside and have to be social again when you were exhausted.
“Hey,” said a woman around your age if you had to guess, her hair silky and tied back in a loose ponytail, a black floral tank top and jeans on. “You’re Y/N, right?”
“Uh yeah,” you said, offering her a smile. “You’re Cara Micks. You’re playing Maddie. My parents were really glad they managed to get you. Everybody wants you in their stuff after that indie film.”
“One little Oscar nom and suddenly I’m not surviving off ramen in an apartment with four roommates,” she laughed, nodding her head. “I uh, I’m really glad I got this role, even if it’s not what my agent wanted me to pick. Working with your dad is like a dream come true. He has such a good reputation. I know this’ll be a good set.”
“I can guarantee it’ll be one of the best you ever work on,” you said as she wiped off her forehead.
“Plus it’s a good story. You did the set design, right?” she asked. You hummed, her eyes lighting up. “I got to sneak down and see some of the set mock ups earlier today. They look really cool. I’d love to know more about how that kind of stuff works. If that’s okay. People seem to think I know a lot about this business when I’ve really only done a few gigs before.”
“Well, I’ve never been on a set I’ve designed before so I’m right there with you but I’d happily answer any questions. I’ll leave the acting stuff to my dad though. I can barely tell you what a mark is,” you said, Cara smiling as she closed her eyes. “You good to drive?”
“Yeah, just tired. I’ll see you tomorrow though. Maybe we can grab lunch?” she asked.
“Sure,” you said, Cara handing over her phone. You exchanged numbers and watched her drive off as your parents walked out of the restaurant, others trailing out.
“Ready for bed? We got an early day tomorrow,” said your mom. You hummed and closed your eyes, your dad rubbing your back.
“Come on. Sooner we get back soon you can head to sleep.”
“Oh my god! It’s my basement!” you said, hopping up and down when you walked onto set the next morning.
“And what a lovely torture basement it is, kiddo,” laughed your dad. You walked around the set, poking at the shelves, surprised they actually put the cobblestone walls in. He nudged you when you ran your hands over it, a proud smile on his face. “It does look good. Appreciate the fact you know an old shack would have cobblestone and not cinder blocks.”
“That was the point,” you said, walking around the space, stopping at the chair in the center of the basement. “They even found the same chair!”
“They do tend to make the sets match what’s designed,” he chuckled, following you around set, hands clasped behind his back. “You should do this full-time. Design.”
“I don’t know,” you said with a shrug, watching him take a seat on the wooden steps. You sat down in the chair across from him, resting your chin in your hands. “TJ has great benefits so it’s not like a fear of having to be self-employed or not getting gigs. I could not work and we’d be perfectly fine.”
“If you have a sense of obligation to stay at the brewery-”
“I know I don’t have to,” you said. “The team does all the real work.”
“So what’s keeping you from giving it a shot? I mean,” he said, leaning back on his elbows, kicking his legs out in front of him, “You’ve got more than a few projects under your belt. You have the resume, connections. You can set your own schedule. Granted, yeah, it’s not going to be every single day and there’ll be long days sometime but you’ve already handled that with two small kids and working another job.”
“I know,” you said, his head cocking as he smiled.
“So…” You closed your eyes and sighed.
“My brewery job you gave me. And somehow people always know I’m your daughter, even when I use Hanover in projects. I just…if I do this full time people are going to assume I got the job because of my dad and I’ll never know if it’s because I’m good at it or if a director wants to work with you. You know?” He nodded, smirking as he glanced down at the concrete floor. “You know it’s true.”
“Nepotism is a thing in this industry for sure. But I also am a product of that through grandpa and people he knew. Nepotism gets you in the door as a guest and it’s right to acknowledge that. Talent gets you invited to stay at the party long after all the wannabe’s head home.”
“But I didn’t earn it like someone off the street,” you said. He sighed, running his hand through his hair.
“Cold hard truth? No one knew who the fuck you were when you submitted that first portfolio for your first project. Nobody. I know that because I worked with the director of that project after and he had zero clue you’re my kid. He recommended you to other projects before I came along so you did earn it. You’re right. You’ll never know for sure but you shouldn’t stop because of it. You don’t always have to start in last place to be worthy of earning first.”
“But nepotism is basically cheating your way to first,” you said.
“Sometimes, yeah. Sometimes, it’s a kid who is talented who got in on her own and won’t give herself a break to do something she clearly loves because she thinks it was a gift. Even if it was a gift, take it. Life threw enough shit at you. Take the nice crap too.”
You pursed your lips, looking around. “You think I’m good at this?”
“Mom and I didn’t approach you to do this project for shits and giggles. We knew you’d do quality work and sure as shit, you did. There are not a lot of sets on this film. Most scenes take place out in the woods so the pieces we do have, they need to be fucking good. And this room doesn’t even have four walls and it’s scary as hell so yeah, I’d say you’re good at this.” He stood up, holding out his hands. “Come on, let’s go check out the rest of the sets.”
“Has anyone seen Cara today?” asked the director, Dave close to lunchtime. You glanced up from where you sat in your dad’s chair, your mom over at the film tent with the other producers.
“She’s still not here?” asked your dad as he walked off set. They’d been filming for a few hours for his scenes at the police station but those were wrapped up, everyone ready to start in the basement once lunch break was over. “That doesn’t seem like her.”
You pulled out your phone and dialed, getting no answer. You tried a few more times and got more of the same.
“This fucking kid,” grumbled Dave, leaning back in his seat. “Can someone get over to her hotel room and tell her to get her ass on set? I don’t care if she was nominated for a fucking Oscar. She pulls any diva shit and I’ll kick her out.”
“She said she was tired last night,” you said, several heads turning your direction. “When we left dinner. She looked a little ill too, like sweaty.”
“Well if she’s sick she’s supposed to call in. She better be fucking dying for not giving notice,” said Dave. You raised your eyebrow at him, Dave giving it right back. “I’m not being dramatic. It’s in her contract what she’s supposed to do if she’s sick.”
“Maybe so but a little common decency doesn’t hurt. You shouldn’t wish for someone to be ‘fucking dying’ because they’re not at work on time,” you shot back. You could feel the eyes on you, most of the nearby crew watching you.
To your surprise Dave nodded, his face relaxing. “You’re right. I shouldn’t have said that. Let’s have someone get over to her place and see what’s going on.”
People dispersed for lunch, your parents holding hands as they stopped at the chair and your dad grabbed his phone.
“Sorry I did that,” you said as you stood. They shared a smile, your dad tucking you under his shoulders as you walked out of the studio.
“We’re not,” said your mom, tilting her head up to your dad. “Remember when she used to be scared of men?”
“You wouldn’t know it with that little display,” he said, squeezing your shoulder. “And you think you’re riding off my reputation in this business. Think again, tall munchkin. Things like that are why people want to work with you.”
“I could have done it privately,” you said with a shrug.
“Don’t take shit on a set. We both did,” said your mom. “It’s nice to know you won’t.”
“Well, what’s the worst that’ll happen? I get fired? So what,” you said.
“We did good,” said your dad, releasing you to high-five your mom. You rolled your eyes and walked ahead, turning around to walk backwards.
“Excuse me but I did good. Y’all were just like…there,” you said, smirking. Both their faces fell and you sighed, stopping in your tracks. “Oh my god, it was a joke! Guys. You two driving me insane as a teenager was incredibly helpful. You definitely did good. Promise.”
“Well,” said your mom with a smile, “It was a team effort.”
“It was,” you said, your dad biting his bottom lip. You spun around and smiled. “It didn’t hurt having a good guy want to be my dad. He set the bar high so I don’t accept shit. I appreciate that.”
You glanced over your shoulder and caught him smiling off to the side, his cheeks a hot pink.
“Dad are you blushing?” you teased. He snapped his attention to you and rolled his eyes, failing to keep his lips from curling up.
“God no. I don’t blush,” he scoffed.
“Sure you don’t,” you said, smiling as you headed for the catering tent. “I forgot you’re a super tough manly man.”
“Damn straight I am,” he said. You shook your head and got in line, looking up when you felt him by your side. “You shouldn’t feel guilty.”
“Dad-” you said quietly as you both stepped forward.
“Your parents hurt us, they hurt you. You didn’t do anything to us. I wouldn’t be strong enough to risk getting hurt by another set of parents let alone believe they love me. I’d be terrified. You’ve always been the strong one in this family, kiddo. You don’t have to say nice things to make me feel better.”
You shook your head, smiling when you looked down. “I don’t say things to you to make you feel better, dad. You or mom. I only say what I believe and genuinely, you made me know what to expect out of men and if they don’t deliver, I’ll let them know about it. I’m not blowing smoke up your ass.”
He smirked, nodding to himself. “You stopped feeling guilty before we even got out here, didn’t you.”
“What can I say? You guys give good pep talks,” you said, feeling your mom hug your waist from behind. “It’s still cool that I came out though right?”
“Don’t ask dumb questions, kiddo,” he chuckled. “Let’s get some lunch and hopefully Cara will be back by then.”
“We have a big problem,” said Dave, stopping by your lunch table about twenty minutes later. Your parents left, leaving the rest of you wondering what was going on. When your lunch break was up, people headed back to their various departments, your dad appearing out of nowhere and giving you a strange look.
“What’s wrong?” you asked.
“Cara has food poisoning it sounds like. The PA that went over found her vomiting. She’s taking her to the hospital to get some fluids in her. Hopefully she’s feeling better later.”
“Oh. Well that’s good,” you said, that strange look still there. “Dad…”
“Technically the scenes we need to film this afternoon are all my coverage. Since Cara’s stunts don’t start until next week, her stunt double and stand in aren’t here yet. But you may have noticed you and Cara share a certain-”
“You want me to fucking double for Cara Micks? Me?” you asked as he smiled.
“You guys are the same height, size. Your hair’s almost the exact same. Literally all you have to do is put on some clothes, sit in a chair with some make up on and make sounds like you’re scared. It’s not going to be hard at all.” You stared at him, his eyes searching yours. “I promise it’s as easy as-”
You crossed your arms and glanced down, kicking at the pavement. “You’re filming the scenes where Ben finds Maddie. Your coverage.”
“Exactly,” he said, voice dropping slightly. “You don’t have to. We can find another woman to I’m sure. I just thought you’re perfect for it already. But you don’t-”
“Dad. It’s not the being a stand in. I don’t mind that,” you said. He cocked his head when you raised yours, sighing deeply. “I’m nervous that…I know that scene. I remember it from the design. Maddie is tied up in a chair in a basement. And I know it’s a film set and it’s safe but…”
You shrugged, smiling wearily.
“House six,” you whispered, his head nodding. “I’m just-”
“I never should have asked,” he said softly. “I’m sorry.”
“Dad, no,” you said, grabbing his arm before he could go. You tugged him away between some trailers, letting go when you ran your hand through your hair.
“Tall munchkin, there is no way I would make you do that. I am so sorry I-”
“Stop. Please.” He snapped his lips shut. After a beat you leaned back against a trailer wall, breathing slowly. “Ben’s a cop. House six, that prick was a cop. I need…I don’t know the script that much, only the early parts, if at all. Tell me Ben’s a good guy.”
“He has his rough spots but by the end of the movie, Ben and Maddie are basically father and daughter. It’s a big step for her considering her own father is the one that had her kidnapped and then tried to kill her.” You pursed your lips, his eyes scanning the clouds overhead. “This is going to sound corny as hell but just listen to me for a minute.”
“Okay,” you said as he met your gaze.
“You’re a grown woman. I recognize that and respect it. You can make your own choices, own mistakes, successes. You have a husband and children and I know when you’re in trouble, I’m not the first person you turn to anymore. That’s okay. It’s normal.” He shoved his hands in his pockets and smirked. “But you’re still my little girl. I will always do my best to protect you or I’ll go down swinging in the process. You don’t have to worry about if the character I’m playing is good or bad. I’m your dad. Behind every character is me. And you know me and what I’d do for you.”
You looked away, nodding a few times.
“You don’t have to do this. At all. But understand that I would not allow anything to happen to you if I didn’t believe it was safe. I’ll let you get some bumps and scrapes along the way cause that’s life. But no more scars. Because I told you that night on the road my job is to protect you, that I’ll never hurt you. You know that deep down but you need to hear it out loud sometimes because you get scared.”
You felt him step closer and forced yourself to face him. “What?”
“I will never let anything like what happened in that house happen to you again. Understand?”
“Okay.”
“Okay,” he smiled, giving you a hug. “Why don’t you go hang out in my trailer for a bit? It’s going to take a little bit to find someone and start filming again.”
“Well,” you said, his eyebrow raising, “You or mom will be nearby the whole time right?”
“Absolutely,” he said. You shrugged and nodded. “You change your mind?”
“I can do it,” you said. “You sure you can?”
“Me?” he laughed. “What do you mean?”
“You gonna be cool with seeing me with fake blood and stuff?” He cocked his head and smirked.
“Fake blood I can handle,” he said, your mom stopping by the end of the trailer. “She says she good with it.”
“Oh thank you,” she sighed, quickly grabbing your hand and dragging you behind her. “Jensen, you need to change while I get her ready.”
“See you on set, kiddo.”
“Thank you everyone,” called Dave at the end of the day. You stretched out as you stood up from the chair, your dad rubbing your shoulders that had a small ache to them. “That’s a wrap for the day.”
“How you feeling?” asked your dad, massaging the muscles with my force, the ache soothing away.
“That helps,” you said, Dave coming over to you.
“I really do appreciate you filling in for us today, Y/N,” he said.
“It’s no problem. I didn’t have to do much,” you said.
“Well thanks anyways, and for calling me out earlier. I want this to be a fun set.”
“I think I figured that out when dad started carrying me out of the scene upside down,” you laughed, your dad chuckling. “How’s Cara feeling?”
Dave shared a look with your dad, his hands falling away from you. “She still at the hospital?”
“Appendicitis. It fucking popped this afternoon.”
“Shit,” said your dad. “That’s bad.”
“She was being prepped for surgery when it happened, which was good, I guess. They were able to go in fast and clean her up. I was going to drop by in a bit and check up on her.”
“Dee and I’ll go too. Her parents know?”
“On the way but Florida’s pretty far. They won’t be here until around midnight. I’ll see you guys there,” he said when he got pulled away by another producer.
“Can I go?” you asked.
“Sure. Let’s stop by hair and makeup so they can clean you up first.”
The Next Morning
“What do you think they’re going to do?” said the key grip as everyone ate breakfast together. Cara was doing better but she was on strong antibiotics so she didn’t get an infection and her surgery had been more invasive than if her appendix hadn’t burst. All in all, it meant she was on bed rest for a few weeks and looking at a full month before she was going to be cleared for work.
Which wouldn’t have been a big problem if your dad didn’t have a project lined up for six weeks from now.
“There’s no way we can finish on time unless they got in a backfill today,” said Molly, your dad’s PA, slurping down a bowl of oatmeal. “Jensen has two different films he’s supposed to be in once we wrap and they’re big studio ones. No way he’d drop those to finish this late with Cara.”
“Couldn’t they just push until after he does the movies? That’s only a few weeks, really randomly too. He wouldn't be needed every day at those,” you said. The key grip, a very, very tall man named Ivan shook his head.
“Cara’s got a Marvel role she starts prepping for then. By the time both their schedules are free it’s late winter and we can’t film in that, not when the movie takes place in the early fall. So that pushes us back to next summer which a lot of the time means we’re dead in the water.”
“Yup,” said Molly with a sigh. “I liked this job. Your dad’s not a dickhead and I’ve worked with some dickheads before.”
“How hard is it to find another actress though? Couldn’t they call up like the girl that came in second in the auditions?” you asked. They shared a look and you frowned. “I clearly am not in on the gossip.”
“It’s okay. You just got here,” said Molly, slurping up more oatmeal. “Rumor is it took like five months to find someone to play Maddie. No one could pull off the intense moments in the script until they got Cara. It’s an amazing script but damn, the lead actress has to be able to do a fucking lot.”
“What do you mean? How’s that different than any other story?” you asked, Ivan chuckling. “I am so out of the loop.”
“Set designers normally are. We hardly ever see you guys to be fair. But basically Maddie in the story has be vulnerable but funny, a whimpering mess but also frighteningly creepy. Soft but strong. Do a number of fight scenes with grown ass men twice her size. All while running around in the woods most days, freezing her ass off during the many night shoots and being able to not oversell the emotional moments and have it come off as cheesy instead of awesome. It’ll be a miracle to find someone like Cara Micks.”
“Oh. Well that sucks. The movie sounds cool. I really want to see if get made,” you said, your mom ducking into the tent with a smile, waving you over. “I’ll be back guys.”
“Let us know if you find out anything!” said Molly. You gave them a smile and walked out of the tent with your mom, surprised when she was practically jogging away.
“Where are you going?” you laughed, following after, grateful you were in a pair of sneakers and leggings today. She just waved and you followed her into your dad’s trailer, many pairs of eyes on you. Your dad and Dave were there along with the other producers that were on set, the assistant director, the writer and a few other people you didn’t know. “Hi.”
You took the only open seat at the far end of the little couch across from your dad, Dave walking over and squatting down in front of you. “Uh, can someone explain what’s happening?”
“I’m sure you’ve heard we’re a bit fucked without Cara. We can’t film a two lead movie without one of our leads. She’s a hard girl to replace,” said Dave. Your eyes flicked up to your dad, his lips pressed into a thin line. “We would like it if you’d entertain us for a few hours and try to film a few scenes with Jensen. You already did the stand in work yesterday and that was great-”
“I played a barely conscious girl yesterday. I didn’t have to do anything.” You got to your feet and shook your head. “I can’t act let alone replace the girl who almost got an Oscar. I will happily be a stand-in but guys…y’all do realize I’m not related by blood to these guys, right? There is zero chance any acting talent was passed along. I haven’t acted since the fourth grade where I played girl #4. Does that sound like the person you want starring in a freaking movie with him?”
Your dad shrugged. “I think you’re selling yourself short.”
You were wide eyed, mouth dropping. Had he lost his mind?
“You’re very smart. You had a lot of good suggestions during pre-production,” said Dave, taking a seat on the couch.
“Sets. Sets I get. I have a degree in architecture and so does my husband. I know walls and floors and ceilings. This? I have zero fucking clue about acting.” Dave looked at your parents, slowly returning his gaze back to you. “I can’t do it. I’ll ruin your damn movie.”
“Well we can’t film shit without Cara so let us try for two hours. If you’re as shitty as you say you are, then I have no problem telling you that. Let us try to grab a life preserver before we go down with the ship. That’s all we’re asking,” said Dave. You grumbled, putting your back to the room before sighing.
“Fine. But no one get mad at me when I can’t do it, alright?” you said, turning around with a huff.
“Perfect. Get her a script and in hair and make up. Jensen, we’ll give you twenty minutes to rehearse before we’ll try on set.” You were ushered out of the room and twenty later you were back there with a wad of paper in your hand, wearing the same dirty t-shirt, leggings and sneakers you wore in the basement scene yesterday.
“Why the fuck would you volunteer me for this?” you said the second you were in his trailer, your dad snapping his head up from where he sat on the couch with his own papers. “When have I ever expressed an interest in acting? I look like shit. I’m not a bombshell like Cara Micks. I look like damn roadkill. You are insane for thinking I could pull something like this off. Why, why do you think I can do this? What is wrong with you, dad?”
He looked you up and down, a soft smile on his face. “Stop smiling! I’m pissed!”
“You do realize the qualities Maddie has in the movie are all ones you have, don’t you? You can do it because you have done it. And don’t tell me you can’t act,” he scoffed. You threw up your hands, dropping your papers.
“Of course I can’t fucking act! Why on earth would you think I can?” you said. He walked over in front of you, crossing his arms and staring you down. “What is wrong with you? I can’t-”
“You can act with the best of them.” You could only stare with wide eyes, growing angrier at the smug expression on his face.
“Stop saying that!” you shot back. “Why would you make me do this? I’m going to humiliate myself and you and mom and-”
He started to laugh and you’d had enough. You turned to leave, his hands gently catching your shoulders. You swore your eye was twitching when you faced him, that stupid smile still there.
“Oh, kiddo. I watched you put on a class act for months when you first came to us. Before that? Acted your ass off in those shitty foster homes. Acted your ass off when you put in anonymous calls to get the truly awful ones shut down. Pretended it was all okay to those monsters faces when it was eating you up inside. Even with your birth parents you pretended to be perfect for them.” He got in your face, tilting his head ever so slightly. “You can act and it’s like I told you yesterday. You’re safe here. So trust me to keep you safe and you can act when your damn survival doesn’t depend on it for the first time in your life. Trust me, it’s going to be a hell of a lot easier than the last time you acted.”
You frowned, growling as he leaned back. “Has anyone ever told you how irritating it is that you always have a fucking point?”
“I recall being told once or twice by a certain munchkin,” he chuckled, picking up the papers and handing them over. “Oh and Y/N? You are beautiful, even with that bruised makeup on your face. Believe me.”
“Dad. You have to say that.”
“Hm, no I don’t,” he laughed, taking a seat. “You don’t know how many death glares I’ve handed out over the years. Plus your husband never shuts up about how pretty you are.”
“Don’t make me smile. I’m still annoyed with you,” you said, sitting down at his kitchenette table, fixing your pages. “Do I have to have this memorized?”
“Let’s just practice a few times and go from there.”
Two Weeks Later
It was quiet out. Then again it normally was at two in the morning. You sipped on your thermos of hot coffee while the crew took a short break. You passed it to your dad beside you, the two of you sat in front of a fire in the forest. Above you was a clearing in the sky, so many stars out in the deep wilderness.
“You’re happy.” You glanced to your right, the shadows dancing across his face.
“Yeah,” you whispered, looking back up at the sky. “It’s so pretty here.”
“I’m really glad I get to do this with you,” he said quietly.
“Me too.” You took the thermos back from him, taking another sip. You were both quiet, watching the flames in front of you. He wore a long sleeve henley while you were still in your t shirt and leggings. But at least tonight you got to wear his warm flannel between takes. Until he’d give it to you in the scene at least. You set the thermos behind the log where it’d be hidden from view when they turned the cameras back on in a few minutes, catching your dad close his eyes. “Dad. Don’t fall asleep.”
“I’m not sleeping. Just happy.” You hummed, connecting the stars in the sky, trying to find the big dipper. “Kiddo?”
“Yeah?”
“It’s to the left of that branch.” You spotted him with eyes open, darting around as they made connections.
“I used to sit outside when I was a kid and stare at the stars. No one ever bothered me when I did that,” you said, pointing out the little dipper to him. “Always seemed so peaceful up there.”
“Did you find a little peace down here?” You nodded, laughing quietly. “What’s so funny?”
“You wonder where I get it from,” you said, shaking your head. “You want to be told you’re loved as much as I do.”
“I suppose I do,” he said, the heat of his gaze on you.
“Yeah, I found my peace down here. Don’t think I ever told him the night of my seventeenth birthday was the first time I slept through the night in a decade. I got my peace a very long time ago, just was afraid of losing it.”
“Afraid anymore?” he whispered. You shook your head, catching Orion far off on the other side of the clearing.
“No. No one can take my peace away from me ever again.” He shifted closer, letting you rest your head on his shoulder. “This is the longest I’ve ever been away from TJ since we’ve been together.”
He hummed, breathing softly.
“How do you stand being away from mom for weeks at a time?” He crossed his arms, smiling to himself.
“Why do you think I’d fly all night just to see her and you guys for half a day? We know how to make long distance work. Our whole relationship has always had an element of it. But getting a hug when you get home eases that ache that forms.”
“I miss Thomas,” you whispered.
“You’ll see him and the babies tomorrow,” he said, crew memembers starting to gather back around, eyes fluttering open. “He has a surprise for you.”
“Oh god. What’d he do?” He held up his hands and scooted back over to his mark. You put on puppy dog eyes, a sigh leaving him.
“He and the kids made you a cake. He misses you too.” You inhaled deeply. “Do you regret-”
“No. I just need a moment with him is all.” You forced a smile and nodded. “Alright. Let’s do this.”
Three Weeks Later
“You’re so pretty,” whispered TJ as you exited the bathroom in a pair of pajama shorts and one of his t-shirts. You laughed, pushing back your damp hair before crawling into bed with him. “I can’t believe I’m sleeping with a movie star.”
You slapped his chest, TJ giggling, rolling himself so he rested his chin on your chest. You ran your fingers through his dark strands, TJ inhaling slowly.
“If this was something you wanted to try, you know we’ll figure it out, right?” You smiled, nodding once.
“People said I did good.”
“If you mean your parents bragging about how fucking incredible you did then sure, you did good.” You traced your finger over his cheek, concern growing in his eyes. “You’ve moved on from the brewery and we both know it. You can clearly do this acting thing if you wanted.”
“Thomas,” you sighed. He wrapped his arms under you, giving you a squeeze. “The only reason I did it in the first place was to help. I did it to spend time with my parents. I got to hang out with my dad so much and a lot of the stuff we filmed…I couldn’t have done that with someone else.”
“I have no problem with you not taking your career that direction if you don’t want to do it. But I don’t want you to not try because you do want it and you’re scared. I want you to go after everything you want in life,” he said quietly, tilting his head up, kissing your jaw. “That’s all I want from you.”
“I don’t want it,” you said, closing your eyes. “I want to get into set design full time. Being away for so long, even coming home on the weekend in the middle there…I don’t want to be gone from you guys for that long regularly.”
“I understand, believe me. We missed you too,” he said, giving you another squeeze. “But we’d go with you if you wanted.”
“I know you would,” you murmured, slowly peeling open your eyes to find him with a smile on his lips. “Let’s put it in the maybe someday again category, if it were with my parents. Until then, I am ready to take a few weeks off and spend some time home.”
He nuzzled you and chuckled. “Why not make a vow to not leave this bed? That can easily be arranged.”
“You’re cockier than usual, my sweet boy,” you teased, TJ lifting himself up on his hands, leaning down over you. “Feeling needy?”
“I haven’t slept with my wife in three weeks. I’m fucking needy. Now if the movie star was so kind-” You smacked him with a pillow, TJ putting on a shocked face. “Is this how you hollywood types are?”
“You’re such an ass!” you laughed, hitting him again, TJ plopping all of his weight down straight on top of you. “Thomas!”
A throat cleared in the room, TJ spinning around and in front of you quickly, your dad smirking at you both. “Well I didn’t mean to interrupt this strange…whatever flirting thing this is but I do need to talk to Y/N. It’s kind of important.”
“What’s up?” you asked, shoving a pillow in TJ’s lap to hide the tent in his pants.
“Your birth parents got wind that you were doing a movie.” You narrowed your eyes as he sighed. “They gave an interview an hour ago. My team is freaking out. I couldn’t care less what they say but-”
“But it could damage your reputation.”
He was blank faced but you knew it could be turn into a big deal. “I don’t give a shit about mine. But they said you only got set design jobs because I got them for you and I know how much it means to you to make your name on your own. Just don’t look at your phones or go online for a while. I’m going to fix this. I promise.”
“Is there anything we should do? Or I guess shouldn’t?” asked TJ.
“I know you two are careful about handing out your numbers but don’t answer any calls-”
“I know how to fix all of this,” you said. You felt both of their eyes on you as you climbed out of bed and tugged on TJ’s hoodie sitting on the bench at the foot of it. You glanced back at TJ and then to your dad.
“You want me to release that video. The security footage from the back porch with your parents,” he said.
“Yes and no.” You slipped past him and went down the hall to the kitchen, both of them following as you grabbed an empty coffee mug from the cabinet. You set it under the coffee machine and after a moment it was churning, the pair of them looking very confused. “On a scale of one to ten, how much will your team freak out if you don’t say anything for like…twelve hours?”
“Considering this is the most controversial thing that’s ever happened to me, probably like a fifty. Why? You’re thinking of something,” he said.
“Like I said, I know how to fix this. But I need time and a few other things.”
“This isn’t your mess to fix,” he said. “I’ll release the video with a statement or-”
“Or…you can give me what I need and I can guarantee anyone with a brain who thinks you and mom manipulated me will change their minds.” You could tell he didn’t want to have to get you involved. He knew how much they’d hurt you. All he wanted to do was protect you from them ever doing that again.
“Give her a chance, Jensen,” said TJ, getting out another mug for himself. “I know my wife. If she has an idea, let’s give it a shot.”
You stepped forward and stood in front of him, his lips pressed into a thin line. “It’s your choice, dad. We can do whatever you and your team want. I just feel like if I said something first it’d mean more. I really need you trust me with this if you-”
“What do you need?” he asked, a small smile on his lips. You nodded, inhaling deeply and grabbing the pad of paper and a pen from nearby.
“You instagram password to start.” He jotted it down, giving you a look to not do anything stupid with his account. “I also need the login to the cloud account with the video backup at the house.”
“I can send you the video of your parents directly. It’ll be easier than-”
“Dad. Just give me the login.” He wrote down more on the pad, his eyes concerned now. “How far back does it go?”
“Since we had the house. What-”
“Is it just video or audio too?”
“Both…I’m pretty sure the security company compresses the files.” You hummed, grabbing the paper and picking up your mug, heading for your home office.
“Uh, is there anything we can do?” asked TJ. You spun around and took a sip of coffee.
“Keep the coffee coming and dad, tell your team you need to discuss with your family and you’ll have a statement out by the morning. Otherwise, do not disturb me.”
You slipped away into your office, leaning back against it.
“This is gonna be a long night.”
Twelve Hours Later
You yawned as you exited your office, quickly making your way down to the bedroom and plopping down next to a sleeping TJ. You were asleep in an instant and woke up a few hours later at noon to TJ shoving on your shoulder.
You were pretty sure you growled at him but he knew how tired you were after the jet lag and staying up a full day. But you needed to try to get your schedule back on track so you reluctantly let him pull you up to sitting.
“You’re on CNN! Come look!” he said. You shook your head, TJ hoisting you up, carrying you bridal style into the family room where what looked like your entire family sat watch the news.
And there was your face from the video you’d made in the middle of the night smack dab in the middle of the screen. TJ set you down as heads turned, your mom rushing over and hugging you.
“How did you make that so fast? How…you didn’t have to share those things, honey,” she said, holding on tight.
“I just wanted people to know the difference between a bad parent and a good one,” you said, surprised to find your dad missing. “Is dad mad? I know I put a lot of private moments in and things he’d probably wished had stayed a secret.”
You spotted him come out of the hallway where the half-bath was, his face neutral. He was mad. Of course he was mad. You’d been sleep deprived when you put that video together. You fucked it up. You should have just let him handle it so you didn’t make it worse.
“Dad, I’m sorry. I should have…” you trailed off when he held up his finger and stepped in front of you. He looked you up and down and nodded a few times. “I’m sorry.”
“You make a video telling the world how miserable you used to be, about some of the bad things foster parents did and calling them out by name, about how mom and I changed your life, about how I…” he clamped his mouth shut, glancing away with a scrunched up face. You swore his bottom lip wobbled and smiled, watching him put his back to your siblings who were all watching intently.
“Was it the part about you being the only real dad I’ve ever had that got you or how I called you a good man that anyone would be lucky enough to have in their life?”
“Goddammit, Y/N,” he said, wiping off his face, keeping his head turned away. “It’s one thing when we say that shit in private but you had to say it to everyone?”
“Yeah because everyone should know. Those assholes tried to fuck with you. My whole life assholes fucked with me and now they tried to do it to someone I love. I’m not letting that shit go anymore. So fuck my birth parents and fuck my other foster parents. If people find out that you’re a good person in the process then that’s a bonus to me.”
He sighed, forcing himself to turn around, a sad smile on his face. “I just wish you hadn’t felt forced to share those things.”
“I didn’t,” you said, his eyes widening ever so slightly in surprise. “All I wanted to do was send a message to those people that they can’t hurt me anymore. I’m sorry if I royally screwed stuff up for you or violated your privacy. I just wanted them to leave us alone from now on.”
“You didn’t, sweetie,” said your mom, tucking you into her side, your dad nodding, easing a bit. He cleared his throat and ruffled your hair, his smile relaxed now.
“You with me for a second,” he said. You followed him down the hall to your room, frowning when you were alone.
“Dad I really am-” He pressed a finger to your lips shushing you, fixing your hair behind your ears.
“Do you remember after the accident when I couldn’t take showers and there was that time you helped me wash my hair?” You nodded as he fixed your part, smiling to himself. “I realized something that day.”
“What?” you asked quietly. He rested his hands on your shoulders, breathing slowly.
“You’re a good person too,” he said softly. You cocked your head, a sliver of a chuckle slipping past his lips. “I knew before then but in that moment, when you with one arm in a sling offered to help me, I just knew I was damn lucky I wound up with a kid like you.”
“You were hurt and I helped…how does that make me a good person for doing what I should have in the first place?”
“Welcome to life in my head the past three hours while everyone in my life tells me how amazing I am when all I did with you was what I was supposed to.”
“Well…” you groaned, stomping your foot. “How do you always do that! Every single time you turn it around on me. It’s not fair!”
“I’ve been playing the game longer than you have,” he chuckled, picking up a hair tie off your dresser and bunching up your hair. “Something I learned with your youngest sister is if you start braiding their hair, then you have a captive audience so you can get out of them whatever intel you need.”
You raised your eyebrow at him as he started to work the hair together, ignoring your face. “And what intel are you looking to get out of me?”
“Just sharing a parenting tip,” he chuckled. “You? You I think I have a pretty good idea of where we stand.”
“Oh you do, huh?” You glanced down, annoyed at the fact he could do a far better fishtail braid than you ever had. He slipped the tie off his wrist, twisting it in place a few times before humming.
“Yeah. I mean, I’m apparently the best dad that ever existed so…” he said, chuckling when you lightly punched his arm.
“You’re just…” you trailed off with a shrug, a smile on his face. “Are you mad? About me showing all those videos of us from home over the years?”
“No,” he said, shaking his head. “Honestly, I loved it. Made me cry like a baby but I loved it. I know you’re pretty damn selective about who you let in but I’m glad I made the cut.”
“Yeah, well, you’re alright for an old guy.” You smirked, getting one in return. “I love you?”
“Yeah you’re lucky I’m still in a good mood,” he said, cocking his head. “Want to know why you’re on the news?”
“Because you’re oh so famous,” you said dramatically, his eyes narrowing. “You so want to give me a noogie, don’t you.”
“The desire is strong,” he said, clasping his hands behind his back. “In news surprising no one, your birth parents were keeping more secrets. Apparently they stole money from their shady employer. A lot of money. Which then the attempt on their lives were made. They were never in witness protection. They were working a deal with the government. Go undercover and they wouldn’t be arrested for partaking in those shady deals themselves. They took the deal and ran. Feds lost them a long, long time ago. You were only supposed to be in foster care a few weeks. But when those dummies got money hungry…they seem to have forgotten they’re fugitives. Pretty interesting have people like that call me the manipulator huh?”
You parted your lips, holding up a hand. “Did they arrest them?”
“It was in process on the news when you came out,” he said as you stood and headed for the door.
“Oh, I want to see this.”
“Knock knock,” said your dad that evening as you lay in bed, ready for a full night’s sleep. “Need anything before we head out?”
“I’ll take a hug,” you said as you sat up.
“Those I’m an expert on.” He walked over and sat on the edge of the mattress, giving a big squeezing one. “Get some rest. You had a long day.”
“So many phone calls. On the plus side my birth parents were arrested, the DA is looking into most of my old foster parents and you gained like a couple hundred thousand followers in like twelve hours. You can tell your PR team thank you.”
“She’s so modest and humble,” he teased, kissing your temple. “Tomorrow will be better. We’ll do breakfast burritos like a normal Sunday. How’s that sound?”
You hummed, closing your eyes. “Can you do one more thing before you go?”
“Shoot,” he said quietly.
“Can you go in my closet and get rid of the duffel bag with the files in it?” He leaned back, letting you lay back against your pillows. “I think it’s time for it to go. I don’t need it anymore.”
He smiled and stood up. “Okay then. Mind if I hang onto it?”
“Do as you please,” you said, closing your eyes.
“You sure you don’t need these papers anymore?” he asked.
“I have my letters from you. That’s all I ever needed,” you said, shuffling the background. “Goodnight.”
“Goodnight, tall munchkin,” he said, tugging your blankets up. “You realize the studio wants us to make another movie together after this, don’t you?”
“It’s gotta be at a resort or no deal,” you said. He chuckled, quietly opening the door. “You can negotiate that right?”
“We’ll see,” he said. The room grew quiet for a beat before you heard his heavy exhale. “I’m really glad I managed to prove you wrong about trusting me. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to.”
“You’re annoyingly relentless like that,” you said, turning on your side, tucking your covers up. “Love you.”
“Love you back. Sleep tight, kiddo.”

Im in Control Part 11 ( Steddie X You)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: Do you remember the beginning of Lilo and Stitch where she gets into that fight with the little girl and the teacher tries to like reprimand her and she's like "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" That's how I feel posting this lol
Warnings: Feelings! All the feelings! With the smut of course. Daddy Steve and Sir Eddie. The boys get the reader a gift to have some fun with her. They do fuck up (I feel like) and there is some major angst with the boy going into more about their damage when it comes to their past. The reader mentions some trauma but it's not as in depth as theirs.
Rough sex (I mean...it could be rougher but still ) Its more the reader towards them. Slapping, hitting, etc. Um...am I forgetting something? Maybe.
Word Count: 5152 ( I let the angst flow through me *sinister laugh*)
“I hate weddings.”, TJ grimaces as he takes a drink from the flask in his pocket.
“Oh, that’s nice. Give me my invitation back then.” As Randy reaches for the envelope, your boss pulls it back.
“I said I hated weddings. I didn’t say I hated you. I will be there.”
You giggle from your place on your desk as Steve looks at the over stylized piece of paper in his hands.
“TJ doesn’t hate weddings. He hates marriage. Thankfully, Randy, you aren’t looking into a mirror of the future.” You raise your hand to block the stress ball TJ throws in your direction and Eddie catches it from his place in front of you as it bounces off your palm.
“And of course, you’re all welcome to bring a plus one.” Randy turns to look at you. “Except you.”
“What? Why?”
“Because you are kind, funny, beautiful, and more importantly not jaded and bitter like these assholes. I want you to meet my friend who’s actually my best man. I think you two will really hit it off.”
“Jesus H Christ, why is everyone so obsessed with my romantic life? Randy, I appreciate the offer but I’m okay.”
“Oh, so are you bringing anyone?”
“I was going to go with these two.”, you gesture towards Eddie and Steve.
“Okay, well there we go. I’ll tell him you’re just bringing friends. Talk to him, Y/N. Trust me, you won’t regret it.”
When you glanced at the boys, their eyes were still on the invitations but everything about their demeanor had totally changed. Steve’s chest rose and fell heavily while the hand that Eddie didn’t have holding the paper was balled into a fist on his knee.
“Hmm… I’m sure I will.”
##################
“We have a present for you.” Steve grins as his hungry eyes scan your body.
They had driven to your house to pick you up for the wedding but instead of meeting them outside like you normally do, he had come up to knock on your door.
“What is it?”
“Hm, I can’t tell you. Here, go put it on before we’re late.” The man hands you the box before playfully slapping your ass, pushing you towards your room.
After you open it, you stare at the contents completely confused. Inside was some admittedly cute lingerie but you didn’t understand why they would want you to wear it now and not later when the three of were playing. Nevertheless, you did as he asked, sliding the black lace panties under your green silk dress.
“Steve?”
“Yeah, baby?”
You smiled to yourself as he replied to you. You liked when pet names like that freely flowed from his lips without prompting or hesitation.
“This bra is beautiful but it wouldn’t go with the dress. My straps are too thin and the cut is too low. Is it ok if I leave it here? I don’t want you guys to think I don’t like it.”
His tall frame suddenly appeared in your doorway. “Aw, look at you, being so sweet. Of course, that’s fine.”
You grin as you lean up on your toes to kiss his lips. “Thank you, Daddy.”
Steve extends his elbow to you which you take as he guides you towards the car.
“Hey, sweetheart. You look breath taking.” Eddie flashes you a smile and you lean over the seat to kiss his cheek,
“Thank you and thank you for my present.”
“Oh, yeah? You like it? We thought of you when we saw it.” The metalhead chuckled at Steve as he climbed in and started the car. “Harrington, as beautiful as you are, I don’t think that shade of lipstick suits you.”
He makes a face as he looks in the rearview and removes the imprint you left on his mouth. Steve leans over and lightheartedly punches his friend in the arm. “Don’t be jealous. Tell her more about the panties we bought.”
“Mr. Harrington, they are panties. There’s nothing intercut about them beside the very sexy lacey design along the side. Other than that, they cover all the naughty bits.”
“They better.”
You laugh at his stern tone as Eddie grins over at him before looking back at you. “Princess, these aren’t just any pair of panties. They… well, it’s probably easier if I just show you.”
You watch him as he reaches into his suit pocket, pulling out a tiny black remote. He wiggles it in your direction, showing it off before pressing a button at the top.
A sudden jolt of vibration shoots through your body straight to your clit.
“Fucking hell!”
“Oh hey, Steve. It works.” They smile at each other as the car stops at a stop light and Eddie climbs between the seats into the back with you.
“What did you two do?”
“See, you can do little pushes…” His fingers pressed the button repeatedly and each little shockwave elicited a small moan. “Or you can push this button here…” His thumb pressed another section of the remote, allowing the vibration to be more constant as it messaged your nub. Your head fell against his shoulder as your hips began involuntarily moving, grinding against nothing.
“You can also change the intensity which is really cool.” As Eddie’s thumb slid along the side, the vibration between your legs gradually intensified causing your eyes to roll back. The man beside you licked his lips as he leaned them down to the shell of your ear.
“Baby, you’re going to have to have a better poker face then that in front of these people.”
“I-I-I can’t…”
“Aw, Stevie. Little girl pretends she’s so tough but can’t hold it together for one night?”
Your face contorted in annoyance as you looked up to meet his gaze. “It…it’s not fair…when…”
While you were talking Eddie increased the intensity again making you reach out abruptly and cling to his shoulders.
“Go on. What’s not fair?”
“I’m…I’m…”
“No, no. Tell me what’s not fair. Then you can cum.”
You felt the car stop as Steve parked, turning around to watch the display behind him.
“It’s not…fair…when you…have an advantage…fuck! Please, please, please.”
“Go ahead, Sweetheart. Cum for us but keep your eyes on me as you do. Do you understand?”
“Y-y-yes, Sir.”
“What you’re feeling right now. That intense overwhelming pleasure as your cunt tightens and your body trembles. We control that. We are in charge of making you feel as good as you do right now.”
You bite your lip, controlling to urge to scream as you cum. The vibration between your legs abruptly stops as Eddie passes the remote to Steve. His beautiful eyes lock on to yours as he gestures to his friend.
“Remember what he said when you’re talking to Randy’s best man.”
##################
“I hate you both.”, you spit through gritted teeth as you three take your seat at the reception table.
“No, you don’t.”, Eddie cackles.
“We haven’t even done anything yet since the car ride here. Calm down, little miss.”
“Yeah, but the fucking anticipation…I don’t when you guys are going to—”
“Hey Y/N! Hey, boys.” Randy grins as he leans down to hug you.
“Hey, man. That was a beautiful ceremony.”, Steve returns his grin with his own.
“Thank you. I’m glad it’s all finally over though. Planning this was a huge pain in the ass and then the whole thing with the engagement party… Anyway,” he looks down at you. “I see you didn’t bring anyone with you.”
“See but I did though. I brought two!” You gesture to the guys but as your hand extends the groom takes it and pulls you out of your chair. “Randy, I don’t—”
“Hi. You must be Y/N. I’m Jason.” The best man offers you a hand which you hesitantly shake. He blinds you with his smile as he chuckles.
“Jas, these are her clients. This is Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington.”
“Oh yeah. I’ve heard a lot about you.”, he says emphatically as he greets them.
“Oh yeah? Randy’s never mentioned you. The only Jason we know is from our hometown and he was kind of a dick.”
You narrow your eyes at Eddie as you pout your lips. “Really? I’m sorry for them. They are stubborn as all hell and complete assholes.”
“You’re right, Randy. She’s funny.” His eyes lock with yours. “I like that.”
The abrupt vibration between your legs startles a small yelp out of your lips as you turn to look at them. Both sets of eyes were glowing with amusement, completely ready to do this tango with you. It made your core throb with need as sat back down between them.
“We have to go back to our table but we’ll talk later?”
Your lips quickly press together as the tremor between your legs escalates.
“Sweetheart,” Eddie leans closer to you. “The man is asking you a question. It’s impolite to not answer.”
“Yes, I WOULD like that vERy mmmuch.”
Jason softly smiles at you before turning with Randy and heading back to their designated area.
“Fucking prick.”, the metalhead rolls his eyes.
“You just don’t like him because he wants our girl. Even though, I’m not going to lie, the vibe I’m getting is one pump chump. Then he’s gone. What do you think, honey?”
You hadn’t heard a word they said as your hand gripped Eddie’s thigh. They watched as you swallowed down pants, trying to control any moans from escaping. You suddenly felt Steve’s hand in your hair and the tenderness of his touch was enough to push you over the edge as your head leaned back, squeezing your eyes shut as you came.
“There we go. Atta girl. Such a good girl for us.” His eyes quickly scanned the room before using his fingers to push your hair behind your ear so he could see your face better. “Color, baby?”
“I still hate you but green.”, you smile in his direction.
Steve’s own grin grows as he passes the remote to Eddie. “You can say it correctly. No one’s looking.”
Your eyes shifted around the room just as his had before finally resting on his juicy lips in front of you.
“I wish I could kiss you right now, Daddy.”
“Well shit!”, TJ’s voice startled you both. “That was actually a fucking nice little thing they pulled off here.”
You cleared your throat as you turned to face your boss. “Nice little thing? I’m sure the bride and groom will love that you’re calling it that.”
“Look, angel. I’ve done three of these. I think I’m an expert by now.”
“No one is questioning that.”, you giggle.
“I’m just saying it’s nice, okay? Leave me alone.” He smiles, chugging back the wine in his glass.
The reception continued in typical fashion with the bridal party and parents each giving a little speech. There was the typical throwing of the bouquet which Eddie found totally amusing that you didn’t want to take part in.
“Why not? Isn’t it like a whole thing for girls to want to catch the flowers?”
“For some, yes, but not me. I think someone who actually wants to get married sometime soon should grab it.”
“You don’t want to get married?”
You reached under the table and placed your hand in Steves. “Not right now but one day. Do you want to get married? I mean at some point.”
“Eh, I don’t think I’m cut out for marriage.”
“What makes you say that?”
“Have you met me?”, he chuckles.
“Steve…”
“Don’t get married, son. Trust me! It’s a trap.” TJ raises his glass towards him as you roll your eyes.
You notice that Eddie had gone uncharacteristically silent, reaching for his hand with your free one.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen one happy marriage.” He softly smiles as your thumb caresses his skin. “And I think out of all my friends, Harrington’s parents are the only ones that are still together and they definitely aren’t happy.”
“My parents are still together and I’m your friend.”
“Are they happy?”
“Happily married, yes. Happy in general, no.”
The father and bride dance along the dance floor in front of you and after a while more people are to join. You glance at them both but neither man moves.
“Excuse me.” You look up to see Jason smiling down at you. “Would you like to dance with me?”
“She very much would. Hi. I’m the boss. I’m TJ. This young lady deserves a dance. Hell, she deserves way more than a dance.”, he winks as you cringe.
“I’m sorry. He’s wasted and an idiot.”
“No. Not a problem. So—”
“Go! Now! I’ll keep the boys company! They’ll survive a few minutes without you.” TJ shoves you into Jason’s chest and gestures you both way from the table.
You place your hand on his shoulder taking the other to hold in the air as you sway to the music. You try to keep as much distance between you two as possible but it’s hard with his hand on the small of your back.
“Randy tells me you’re an agent for some popular porn stars. That’s kind of neat. I don’t know a lot about the industry but…”
You couldn’t give a damn about what he is saying. You tuned him out as your eyes stayed on your table, watching as Eddie and Steve became increasingly more angry. They whispered heatedly to each other; well, Eddie did. Steve’s lips remained in firm line as he followed Jason’s movement with his eyes.
Every time his hand drifted a little further down your waist, his chest would rise and fall as he told himself not to just get up and beat the shit out of this guy. Eddie pulled out the remote and you subtly shook your head. You knew if they teased you, you may grab onto Jason which would just make things worse.
Steve whispered in the metalheads ear making Eddie grin as he pushed one of the buttons forcing the panties to come to life between your legs. They weren’t going to make this easy, choosing to skip the little pushes and allow the vibration to turned on while you danced.
“FUUUCK me…”, you mumbled.
“Are you ok?”, Jason asked as he looked you over.
“Yeah, yes, yeees. I’m fine.” A sudden increase in intensity pushed you forward into his chest. “Sorry. I, uh, trIIIpped.”
You turned glare at Eddie to find they were both already fuming. Steve reached over for the remote turning the vibration to its highest setting and you couldn’t help but cling to Jason’s shoulder for support as you felt your legs begin to shake.
When his lips connected to yours, you immediately shoved him away from you.
“What the fuck are you doing?!”
“You were grabbing on me. I thought you were trying to…I don’t know!”
“We just met!”
“I don’t fucking know how women in this industry behave.”
“Yeah well, obviously, you have no idea how a man behaves either. Fucking prick.”
Your shoes click against the floor as you run out of the reception hall and enter the bathroom. As soon as Jason kissed you the vibration had stopped but you still reached aggressively under your dress, pulling off the underwear and throwing them on the counter.
A knock on the door made you jump and as soon as you opened it Steve’s hands gripped your face. Eddie followed behind him, locking the door so no one else could come in.
The man holding you quickly scanned your face as his thumbs wiped the tears from under your eyes. “Are you ok? What happened? Did he hurt you? Why are you crying?”
“No! No. I just got overwhelmed with the underwear, seeing you guys look so hurt, and then him fucking kissing me. I… I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
Steve pulled you to his chest as you tried to calm down. “Hey. Breathe, okay? You didn’t do anything wrong, baby.”
“We took it too far. We just hated seeing his hands on you.”, Eddie sighed.
“I didn’t want to dance with him! I didn’t want anything to do with him but no one fucking listens to me! I just want to be with you! With both of you! I fucking love you!”
You immediately closed your mouth trying to stop your words but they had already flowed from your lips. Steve’s hands dropped from you as both men leaned back against the wall. Your breath shook as you exhaled, eyes shifting between them.
“I love you.”, you repeated with a bit more confidence.
“This was a mistake. We pushed her too hard.” Steve’s voice was low as he spoke to Eddie.
“You think? She thinks she’s in love with us.”
“Don’t do that. Don’t talk to each other like I’m not here.”, you scowl.
“Maybe we should give her space.”, Eddie continued as he folded his arms across his chest.
You march up to the boy and grip his cheeks in your hand like they do with you when you won’t answer a question. “STOP! Talk to me, Eddie.”
Roughly, he pulls face from your hands and pushes you backwards away from them. “You can’t love us.”
“Why? Was that some fucking rule I missed?”
“Munson, it’s ok. Little girl thinks she’s in love. It’s kind of cute.” Steve’s tone is dripping with condescension.
“I…I don’t think. I-I-I…”
“I-I-I… yeah, you sound real sure of yourself.”
“That’s because you’re intimidating me a bit! I just…don’t understand. Why can’t I love you? Why would that be such a bad thing?”
“We aren’t people you fall in love in love with, honey.”
“Oh? So when you told me that you cared about me…where did you expect this to go?! At some point like turns to love, Steve. I’m sorry to disappoint you.”
Steve’s head hangs as he slightly turns to speak in Eddie’s direction. “I told you this was a mistake.”
“No! Don’t turn this around and make me into one of the people who left you guys. You’re the ones pushing me away right now and for a stupid reason!”
“It’s not stupid! We’re protecting you. Trust me. You don’t love us. You don’t WANT to love us.” Eddie glared at you trying to keep his strong composure intact.
It suddenly all hit you at once.
“I’ve never seen a happy marriage…Come on, honey. Have you met me?... My dad beat the shit out of me…A smart mouth just like your fucking mother…My dad was barely home. He never cared. Always made me feel like I wasn’t enough… I didn’t do enough to protect you…”
“Eddie. Steve. You… you guys aren’t your parents. You’re not your dads. This thing here that we do…it’s not the same.”
“We should get back out there before people start wondering where you are.” Steve started to move out of the way so he could open the door but you held him still with your palm against his chest.
“Don’t do that. Don’t ignore me. Don’t ignore my feelings. When we started our relationship, you asked me if I had any boundaries you shouldn’t cross. This right here is a big one. My mom pushed aside my feelings all the time especially if they didn’t align with her beliefs. Please, don’t…don’t do this. Don’t be selfish. I’ve been through some shit to and being open with you guys like this is extremely hard. But I DO love you and if you don’t that’s fine. It is what it fucking is but don’t you DARE preach to me some bullshit about how I can’t because of who you are.”
Eddie looked at Steve as they had a silent conversation between them. The metalhead nodded before shoving his friend to the side and barreling out into the hallway.
Steve grabbed the door handle, pausing to glance your way. “Our private arrangement is over. If you feel like you can’t be our agent anymore, we’ll understand. We’ll bring your stuff from our house to your office on Monday. You can let us know then.” With that he was gone.
Your entire body felt numb as you stood there staring at the spot they had just been standing. Your body glided out of the bathroom of its own free will as you passed through the reception hall like a ghost.
“Y/N, have you heard of this—Y/N?”, TJ’s eyes followed you with genuine concern. You couldn’t bear to look towards the other two men at the table. “Y/N? Angel, where are you going?”
He got up to trail after you, gently reaching for your arm. As you looked up at him, it was like being shaken from a trance. “Are you ok? Did something happen?”
I’m not in control.
You suddenly fell into his arms and cried. He guided you to a nearby bench, holding you to him as he gently rocked you back and forth. “I told you weddings are the worst.” A heavy breath left your chest as you laughed and he smiled at the sound. “I’ve known you for 5 years and I don’t think I’ve ever seen you hurt like this. Now I know I’m your boss but I care about you so I just have one question. Whose ass am I kickin’?”
You didn’t see it but Steve was watching you two out of the corner of his eye.
“Is she still crying?”, Eddie asked as he looked down into his glass.
He shook his head. “TJ’s making her smile.”
“Good because we’re fucking assholes.”
“Yeah, well, that’s why we are letting her go.”
“Are we? Or are we throwing more salt in her wound by staying around as her clients?”
“Go ahead, Munson. Go tell her we’ll be leaving as her clients as well which could get her fired in the process.”, Steve chugged back the last of the wine in front of him.
“She was fucking right you know. We never should have crossed that professional line. We should have just left her alone especially if it was going to end like this. She was right about everything. I mean, where did we think this relationship was going to go, Harrington? I feel like we’re worse than our dads for stringing her along and I hope you enjoyed watching that prick paw on her because we are going to be seeing a lot more of that now.”
“Excuse me.”  They jumped at the sound of your voice. “You two gave me a ride here and TJ is too drunk to take me home. Can you please—”
“Yeah. Not a problem.” Steve quickly fishes for his keys as both boys stand.
“Thanks, guys. I’d drive her but I don’t have my car and I am way too wasted.” TJ grins as he gives you one final hug. “At least I know she’s safe with you guys.”
#################
The entire car ride to your house is completely silent. As soon as they parked, Eddie began to move so he could get out and open your car door.
“No. No, no. Mr. Munson. I got it. Thank you for the ride.” You reached for the door, stopping halfway as you addressed them. “I don’t need until Monday. I’ll still be your agent but I have rules of my own.”
You heard them shuffle in their seats to face you and for the first time since the bathroom, you met their eyes.
I’m in control.
“We don’t talk about anything unless it’s business related. I think that’s best for everyone. You will stay out of my personal business and I will stay out of yours. That’s, um, that’s it actually. That’s all I had.”
They silently nodded and you did the same, reaching for the door again.
“We’re sorry… for what it’s worth…”
You sarcastically laugh as you lean back in their back seat, casually gesturing towards Eddie. “Letting Daddy speak for you again, I see. You know what, Steve. Nothing. Your sorry is worth NOTHING. I trusted you two and what did that get me? This is the second time in our relationship you both have made me feel stupid. I put a lot on the line for this relationship. My career, my friendships, my personal life. I have told you two things and done things with you that I have never said or done with anyone else! I even left a good man because I put my faith in you. I’m an IDIOT but it’s fine.”
“It’s fine because it’s fucking over. No one, hear me, NO ONE has ever hurt me like you two just did. So, Steven, that sorry apology isn’t worth the pain I’m feeling right now.” You finally exit the car and slam the vehicle door. “Thank you for the ride.”
The tears started to flow as you made your way towards your front door. A strong hand gripped your shoulder, turning you around as Steve’s lips crashed to yours. Eddie promptly opened your front door as Steve guided you inside. You pushed him back against the wood, smacking his face with your palm.
Glaring up at him, you did it again and he didn’t do anything to stop you. Shakily, you tore at his suit as he roughly pulled at your dress. Your back suddenly hit the wall outside of your bedroom as his lips heatedly kissed your own. As he started fumbling with his belt, you shoved at his chest, trying to push him back. Your hand collided with his cheek again and when his face turned back towards you, his brown eyes were overshadowed with lust.
“Is that best you can do, little girl? Come on. I know you can do better.” You hit him again, feeling his bare chest heave at the feeling. “Oh, come on, baby! Really let go.” Your tiny hands pushed and punched at his chest as you felt the tears well up in your eyes again.
“Fuck you, Steve!” Your fell back against the adjacent wall and his body came with you as his head leaned near your ear. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
He kicked his pants to the side, lifting your legs to wrap around his waist as you clung to his neck. “I don’t want to hurt you either, honey.” Your eyes rolled back as he sheathed himself inside of you, thrusting at a steady pace as he spoke.
“You’re not an idiot and you’re not fucking stupid. You are the best girl we have ever known. We have to do this, baby.”
“You don’t have to, Daddy.” He grunted as you pulled his hair, making him look at you. “You don’t have to. You—mmm—aren’t him. Fuck. Please, please. Harder, Daddy.” Without pulling out, he carries you into your bedroom and falls with you onto the bed, smacking his hips against yours as you moan.
“You deserve better, Y/N.”
“Please, make me cum. Please, Daddy.”
Steve pushes up on to his arms, pumping into you as hard as he can, watching as your body bounces below him. Your nails scale down his chest as you cum, clenching around him making mewl as he moves faster against you. He falls onto you, his hips faltering as he cums inside of you.
As he rolls to the side, you sit up on your elbows to meet Eddie’s blown out eyes. He had already removed his suit and was slowly stroking his cock as he watched you both.
You expected Eddie to immediately take what he wanted but when he placed himself in front of you, his arms abruptly pulled you into a hug.
“He’s right, Princess. You deserve better.”
“Then why did you even bother, huh? You should have just kept fucking me the way you were or better yet…just left me alone.”
He leaned back to look at your face as ran his fingers through your hair. “I don’t know. You’re right. We should have kept things the way they were.”
You bottom lip trembled as you tried holding yourself together. Balling up your fist, you punched his chest, knocking him back slightly.
“That…does NOTHING for me, Eddie! Just like his fucking apology. Or I’m sorry, both your apologies. Did Stevie tell you this was for the best and you just went along with it?”
He looked down, trying to control his temper. Eddie knew he deserved this after hurting you.
“No.”
You hit his chest again but this time he turns into it. “Just no…Sir? That’s all I fucking get? No!”
As your fist flies, he reaches out to grip your wrist and pulls you closer to his face.
“No because I don’t need him to remind me where I come from! I’m a Munson, sweetheart. We’re all destined to be fuck ups. I am meant to destroy you, Y/N. Is that what you want?! Because that’s what you claim to love.”
He pushes your chest, making you fall backwards as he quickly grabs your legs pulling you to the edge of the bed. Eddie runs the tip of his cock between your folds a few times before breaching your entrance. Hugging your legs against his chest, he thrusts into you with purpose.
The sound of your strained voice draws his attention as he looks down at your sweaty face. “I…I don’t—mmm—I don’t understand why—FUCK!”
“Why what, baby. Tell him.” Your eyes meet Steves as he gently pets your head, caressing your forehead with his thumb. Eddie slows his pace allowing you gather your thoughts.
“I don’t understand why you…see yourselves so…negatively.” A tear escapes your eye and Steve tenderly wipes it away. “I trusted you.”
Eddie opens your legs, wrapping them around him as he leans down to capture your lips. He holds you to his mouth, feeling your pussy tighten around him as you cum again. Leaning up on his knees, he chases his own high, furrowing his eyebrows together as he cums a few moments after you.
Steve wasted no time getting a wash rag from your bathroom and taking care of you. You sat on the edge of the bed allowing them to do their thing, staring off into the void as they did. Eddie threw a shirt over your head and for the first time since you had started your relationship, he put one of your own on you.
The dam broke as you cried again. Steve wrapped his arms around you, shifting your body so your head was on your pillows. When he moved to leave, you didn’t let him go. Not until you felt him crawl under the covers with you as Eddie did the same. His arm encircled around your waist behind you as Steve watched your face till your eyes slowly began to close.
“Steve? Eddie?”
“Yeah, honey?”
“Please, don’t be here when I wake up.”
